Reports coming in that although he was all set for us, our players seemingly rejecting him changed things and that Khalifi stepped in too so now Griezmann is set to sign with PSG. Kinda hoping this is true, although of course only under the condition we don't go bat shit crazy and buy Rodrigo or even bring back Neymar, who is by all accounts finished as a top player. But all in all, I don't think Grizzy is what we need so I wouldn't be that disappointed to see him end up with PSG.

Sport have been publishing nothing but rubbish regarding Griezmann ever since he announced he was leaving Atleti. Shamelessly selling whatever little credibility they had left to stir the pot for some cheap clicks.

Everything coming from our reliable sources suggest we will finalize the deal once his release clause drops on July 1st. The board's mouthpiece MD confirms this as well. The reports coming out of France also claim everything is done and he will be coming here in July.

Sport have already lost the plot and have committed themselves to being the contrarians for shock value on the Griezmann front, so they might as well go all in and publish utter shite for a few more weeks. When Griezmann is finally announced by us Sport will say Bartomeu came in at the last minute and gazumped PSG making the board and Barto look like heroes.

Nothing to see here.

if we don't get him (and as you say no rodrigo or neymar) i dont know who the heck we could get as a cf or cf/winger to help for next year.

we need more than de jong and de ligt to fully change the dynamic of the last few seasons.

Don't see EV dropping Suarez so best we can hope for is a good reserve ST, maybe Ben Yedder. Best new attacker we can hope for is a new LW upgrade on Dembele.

Ben Yedder would be one of the better 2nd tier choices, I would agree.

Dembele is a terror on opponents when fit, I don't see how we can do better than him (with some good conditioning/training/injury fortune).

He can't sign a contract until 1st of July when his release clause drops, unless a club negotiates with Atlético.

He at most probably just had an oral agreement with Barca.

The guy ain't coming back anytime soon and by the time he could the dude will be already over the hill and perhaps even more injury prone as it is.
