Have to assume one of the players Atletico would want is Semedo.

I have no clue what will happen if we give them Semedo.

Considering the rumors of the club wanting a real cheap option at LB, don't count on the Club investing money into the RB spot and just going with Wague.

that and maybe getting alves back on board for 1 season.

Oh great! We're getting this narcissistic midget just after Atletico used him up and he's beginning to decline....It's exactly what we need, isn't it? Messi, Suarez and now Griezmann standing still looking on as we defend with 7 men off the ball, that's how we beat Liverpool next season....

Have you ever seen Griezmann play ? "standing still as we defend with 7 men" smh... He's probably one of the most hard working striker in the world, defending, pressing, creating chances...

By the way, maybe somes culès out here can answer an actual question I've been asking myself a lot these days, reading this board: how come people are giving Griezmann so much shit about "La decision", while completely forgiving Pique for his role in the whole thing ? I might have missed a thing or two, which is why I'm asking, but from what I've gathered, AG told Pique he was "considering joining Barca", which was not sure at the time. Pique then talked AG into making a full documentary about his upcoming choice, through his production company. So, Pique knew at the time there was a chance that AG might not actually sign for Barca, but he mostly thought about promoting his company and making cash in the process, right ? He went in knowing that it could look bad for Barca in the end (depending on AG's choice), but chose to do so anyway, right ? If that's the case, I'd say the whole thing look AT LEAST as bad for Pique as it looks for AG. Without Pique, AG would have simply made a choice between his current team and a potential new one, like any regular football player. He didn't ask for it to be filmed, he just said yes when Pique, who's supposed to be a "true culé", started the whole thing.

I'm not saying barca fans shouldn't be mad at AG. I probably would have been a bit pissed off too. I'm just wondering if I'm missing a few facts, cause I really don't understand how people can refuse to see AG sign here while being totally ok with keeping Pique.

(bear in mind I'm just talking about non sport related reasons here, I can understand the concerns about AG as a CF in a 4-3-3, even though I'm personally sure he'll be great for Barca).

People were mad at Pique and trashed him for that ,wanted him to leave / be a bench player but as the season progressed he turned his world class side on and people forgot about the Griezman incident.

Griezmann is the most hardworking attack player in the world, he breathes that Simeone mentality and always defends.

For the dumb memes, Dabbing and the "Documentary" He's not a toxic individual and is a hard worker and seems like a guy that could get along with pretty much anyone.

A bit different from someone like Neymar who has done a good job not getting his personal life in check and coming off as unlikable with his on-field diving antics etc.

I think he'll surprise a lot of us here and he'll do extremely well. He's world class in every way.

Agree completely.

Funny seeing my posts and that of other users back in March when the local press broke the news of us buying Griezmann this summer. I stand by everything that I wrote back then but I would never have imagined that the useless board was contemplating signing Neymar as well and at the same time not parting ways with Suárez.

Since I am completely resigned to both of them (Griezmann and Neymar) arriving as written earlier, I have zero confidence in Valverde being able to handle the likes of Messi, Suárez, Neymar and Griezmann. I would not be surprised if Griezmann (the most hard-working of that lot) was sidelined in far too many games or outright played out of position creating a new "Coutinho" although I would like to insist that Coutinho is and never has been good enough to even clean Griezmann's boots. To me Griezmann has been the real deal for years while Coutinho is one of the most overrated players that I recall ever having watched and every single time that I think about the insane transfer fee that we paid for him and his performances for us, I shake my head and laugh.

I for one hope Griezman come as soon as possible and we will have us a winning team for next year to win the league and be favorable for the champions league. As much as you guys hate Raki, Suarez and Busquets, they are sources of stability if coupled with the right players.

Griezman, Suarez, Messi
De Jong/Arthur, Busquets, Raki
Alba, Lenglet/Umtiti, Pique, Roberto
Stegen

This is as strong and as balanced as any team in Europe gets

Griezmann as a LW won't work.
Roberto as a RB doesn't work.
Busi and Raki combination in midfield? :throw:
