Another flop on BBZ list. World Cup winner and best player from Simoeone's Atletico Madrid - Antoine Griezmann.

What a joke.

A team made of BBZs flops would beat Ernie's Barca in CL.

What a joke.

No, it's not a joke.
BBZ is rarely right, but this time he is.

When mentioning Griezmann's merits and titles you tend to go by mere authority and fame. Although he was far from being the real play-maker at the WC (apart from scoring penalties) he is indeed a class in himself but that's not enough in a predictable and slow Barcelona.
If Messi regains his form, Griez may have his goals, his moments but we all know that he is not suitable to play as a LW.
He is technically gifted but slow, is not at all a good dribbler, which simply forbids him to be a LW, even if he has - at present - no other post to occupy.

Countinho's example just predicts what will happen if Griez plays on the left.

Even if not a classic no.9, I can't see a reason why he couldn't replace the current Suarez in that position.
He runs more, presses more, tracks back more, passes better, plays one-twos wonderfully and has a good shot.
Not a dribbler, but is suarez considered one nowadays? What we need is a pacy, dribble capable, penetrating left winger a.k.a someone like Fati or Dembele.
Although the first is 16 years old and the second.. he is what he is, until now at least.
P.S. Fati doesn't seem that fast to be honest, so Dembele is our only truly fast player.

Well said. It's not that hard to replace current Suarez. He is garbage. Griez has much more qualities these days.

People are saying hes a misfit but he proved last game alone that he can do much more than be wasted at LW by VV. He reads the game very well, is a workhorse, has vision and can link up with other players well. Most importantly, he is very good defensively for an attacking player. De Jong as DM, Arthur and Griezman as CMs. That is about as balanced a midfield as we've had since IXB in their prime. Messi can stay on the right, Dembele on the left and hopefully Ansu in the middle since Suarez is shit. That is by far our strongest team imo, and all players are actually playing in positions where they are comfortable. Griezman will have plenty of freedom with Frenkie and Arthur alongside him.

Is Griezman a traditional CM, no he is not. But that setup works with Arthur and Frenkie and it's the best we got. I wish the 120 would of been spent on a CF, but options were kind of limited and we got Griezman. We need to make the best of it and playing him at LW is a waste, and unlike Coutinho, he has a lot to offer everywhere else on the pitch.
