I agree he’s being played out of position, but I still don’t see anything special about him. I don’t get excited when he gets the ball, I know he’s not gonna do anything with it.

Only logical reason for his transfer was for either him to be played behind a striker ( Messi ) or play as a striker himself in front of Messi. As a LW , both Dembele and Fati ( maybe ) are a better fit than him , Dembele mostly because of his top pace.

I dont see why they dont try him in the same role they gave Vidal today. He has the lungs for it, is good defensively too and is a better goal scorer. Give him the freedom Vidal had to run around and bounce off the front three.

Why would he come to Barca just to play the role of a box to box midfielder? He has the workrate but not necesarily the best defensively. He wasted his quality to play something totally different at Barca where he could be flourishing else where. I swear people here has all sorts of crazy ideas just to fit him in this team.

Yeah, he can play goalkeeper if he has the ability but honestly, why waste his best qualities as a second striker.

To each his own I guess .....for example for me , I don't feel the need to cut my wrists after a failed control of the ball , first touch of a guy who is playing blindfolded , amateur passing , 0 dribbling skills , as I do when I watch Suarez. Griezmann is not a really good dribbler aswell but at least he'll try to get the best outcome rather than going for the nutmeg 95% of the times and losing the ball.


When it comes to short passing , control , 1-2 quick passes he is world class . Dude is also a workhorse and runs all the time to get the ball back in case we lose it.
