Antoine Griezmann

I think both camps here have a point. Messi and team's myopic Greizman excluding vision is definitely evident, but then, Greizman has been shit too. Granted that he will never play in his "OG" position because of Messi, whatever position he plays in he plays shit. I get not being able to perform at your best level, but you cannot excuse a supposedly World Class player for being shit in absolutely every position under the sun except one, that just doesn't work. You need to be at least semi decent, and Greizman, with his touch and finishing, has been beyond shit.

Having said that, he does have work rate, but that's simply not enough.

His teammates are saying he needs time to adjust, his coach is saying he's not adapting well to Barcelona, the fans are talking shit, and so are neutrals; but he'll keep playing because he's a celebrity signing and will likely never be benched because of that. When the fuck did this club stop being an actual football club? 10 years ago a celebrity signing would have been fucking benched to hell and sold within a year if he played the way Griezmann has been playing.

I wonder what he himself was expecting to happen when he signed for Barcelona, a club that already has players who play in similar positions.

Ehh you're looking too deeply into it. The wages are amazing, he gets to play in sunny Barcelona (arguably the best climate in the world), and he gets to be on the pitch with Messi. These things are more than enough for him, regardless of the trophy haul or how good of a fit he is.

Then he should be happy to play wherever they put him.

He needs to go, for the good of Barca and his own career

The problem is that the "french fraternit?" doesn't want to leave. The paycheck and the "beaches" are to good.

Look at Umtiti. Dembouz. Now the same will slowly go with the Griez.

"They want to prove themselves".
Fuck they want that. Who will pay them this good for contribution 0. No one. They know it. And they will squeeze the last cent from "stupid" club that offered those insane wages

I blame it on the board. The "fraternit?" is just collecting it.

nah I don't think Griezmann is the type to accept a bench roll and collect his wages. I'm not sure who could afford/want him but i think he'll be open to a move next summer
