"Griezmann refuses to ever train for Barcelona again, his only intent is to train with Atletico"

Wtf

Overreactions.

He knows Barca wants to push him out of the club and he only wants to return to Atletico. But if there won't be a deal and he'll stay he'll be as professional as he ever was.

This line-up would be suicide in cl knockout matches.

This is another stupid differentiation. It would be as good or as bad in the league as in the CL.

And since Barcelona won the tournament in 2015 they have knocked out:
- Arsenal crushingly, then went out marginally to Atletico who later lost the final on penalties.
- PSG remontada, then went out against finalists Juventus
- Crushed Chelsea, then lost on away goals to Roma after a collapse
- Crushed Lyon and Man Utd, then had another collapse against winners Liverpool.
- Crushed Napoli, then lost to winners Bayern Munich after another mental collapse.

In the games they lost, scoring or the attack wasn't the problem. In the three recent defeats it was a clear mental problem in the whole team, together with a lack of ability to control the game the way they need to.
Still, they have mainly crushed the teams they should be better than in the KO stages and lost against teams that were top.2 that year, Roma being the exception.

Even though I don't want that lineup either, it is superior to Griezmann-Dembele-Messi, whatever the competition.

La Liga have told Barca and Atletico that they will check the values of the players before authorizing any transfer.

Atletico I think more or less have to either add another player or add some extra money on top of it. Like they sign Griezmann for 80m while we sign Saul for 60m. Doesn't sound like La Liga will accept both having the same valuation.

I dont think so as during the humilations years in cl we still didnt get a humilation from real or atletico. Even in 16/17 when Real was by far the best team in the world we played 1-1 and even won 3-2 when they had their peak of the season while we got humilated against a clown PSG 0-4 and against juve 0-3. Same in 17-18 when Real won the cl again: we played 2-2 and won 3-0 against them while we lost 0-3 against roma in cl. We have a different mentality in la liga and cl in which quality players could help us a lot more with their individual brilliance if we have a mental collapse.

''In the games they lost, scoring or the attack wasn't the problem.''

15-16: Didnt score atletico away: went out

16-17: Didnt score in both matches against juve: went out

17-18: Didnt score against roma away: went out

18-19: didnt score away in liverpool: went out

Defense/mentality are a big problem but offense was often also horrible.

It's a pretty bad precedent though. Why should LaLiga determine player values?

Are they going to do the same with transfer fees? Say it is too little or too much? If not, why not?

Theoretically it is linked to wages. But the big clubs tend to have it higher, or in the case of Unai Simon- 0.

But the buyout clause itself is a decree in Spanish labour laws for sports persons employed in Spain and not football itself.

Individual brilliance is something Aguero and Suarez can bring more of than Dembele and Griezmann.
Apart from Juventus, they generally scored enough to go through over two legs. They didn't concede little enough to generally go through.
I don't think football is as easy as blaming forwards for offence and defenders for defence though.

15-16: Like any team can do at any time, Atletico is a decent team.
16-17: Sure
17-18: Because of a mental collapse, nothing to do with whatever the point you and others are trying to make about Kun and Suarez.
18-19: Same as the year before, and the year after.
