YouTube signing. Kids played 1k minutes in the Turkish league, it'd be sensible for him to move to a midtable side to actually prove that he is more than the next Hachim Mastour.

Watched a bit more of him. We don't really need him- like Kendry who signed for Chelsea. Occupy the same space as Lamine, that's where all his/their decisive actions come from. While moving he or Lamine both centrally is no guarantee as they both like time on the ball. Think Coutinho.

We need to make a bet (first team minutes and development), and that has to be Lamine. Unless their are renewal difficulties as per guys like Ilaix on the horizon.

Now, if we could go in with 15-25 million on a big right footed prospect in a similar mould then go for it without hesitation. That's where our gap lies.

Obviously if we had the funds of Chelsea and the sales outlets of Premier League teams then it would be a different story.

Absolutely mental if we go in for this guy. If anyone shouldn't be signing a hyped up slow winger of Turkish origin it's us, after what happened recently with Demir.

Looks like money is too tight to mention and we want to throw 17.5m at a guy who plays in a position we don't need and where we have a better, younger prospect.

This is the equivalent of those knuckle draggers who get excited on Black Friday thinking they got something cheap, not realising that the knockdown price is still too high anyway.

Ping 17.5m to Vasco and get Rayan instead. Much better prospect and can play on the left wing, which is what we need the most.

Would be great if some accountability gets established. Who exactly decided on each particular transfer and what are the repercussions. If it turns out great you get a bonus. If not - person responsible should answer.

We are in a desperate need for a DM, RB and LW and we go on and sign another midfielder. Yeah it makes sense...

He is a 2024 signing if it happens.
We are negotiating with his club, we won't pay release clause right away either.
He joins next year, enjoy playing 1 extra year as a starter there, doesn't impact our transfer this season.
The club president there is Beko owner, we have strong business ties to him. Main issue will be convincing the kid himself.
Sounds like a good plan for me, provided he turns out good.

@khaled_a_d good points.

I do think though that if we do sign him, that we should get him out of turkey asap.

Preferably to LaLiga. Betis would supply an avenue. If they didn't have salary cap issues then maybe we could structure a co-ownership with them.

Those deals sound good on paper more than in reality tbh.
Betis is suffering from economical difficulties just like our, they are also an ambition team who won't be there to just develop players for us.

You also have to look from the player perspective. Turkey is a fairly big and wealthy country (top 20 in both population and gdp) with strong league (in comparison to leagues outside of the classical power like the top 5) and he is now the wonderkid of this generation and if I take a guess he has sponsership deals their ready for him.
Would a guy like that accept such deal tbh? with a release clause he has? Don't see it tbh. This isn't an Emerson Royal case where you buy an unknown RB in a country that produce dozens of players to Europe every year.

This signing have no impact on FFP this summer according to Laporta as he's going to be signed and registered in 2024. Should we prioritize a CDM and LW? Sure, but that's complicated due to issues we have this summer.

My hope is that they sign a LW for next summer or target one soon too, and then have a clear plan on who to approach for CDM next summer as well.

It's also the type of signing people beg us to make all the time, but get annoyed when we do it. IMO he has a very similar profile to Bernardo
Silva. As for Lamine Yamal then may the better player become the starter. Competition is good. That's assuming they both even play the same position to begin with.

According to Turkish source Fanatik
-Madrid sending Butri and Bobby Charles to nego.
-Milan and Barca have offered 22m. BO stands at 17.5m.
-Guler wants to go to Madrid.

Seems Papa Perez wet his jimmy jammmys and is looking to close the deal simply to 1up and win, and not because he really needs. imo.

Anyways, let's see how this plays out. I'd be surprised if we get the signature on this one.
