Complete player, my opinion hasn't changed from the Atletico days, to the 5 months inactivity, and to now.

A step forward in offensive creation when compared to the rest of the MF bar Iniesta, defensive skills proven, good pace, intelligent player.

His inactivity might affected his pace, but physical condition is build on consistency which only comes with playing time week in week out.

It's a completely different picture when you have to develop a player within a system.

I dunno...I saw him outrun players to the ball a couple of times.
He seems to be faster than Rakitic at least.


Even though he is an addition to offense, still tracks back to defend. Workhorse.

Perhaps it's because they're even slower than the Turk?

Of coruse, Arda is fantastic to provide offensively/defensively, but pace isn't really his main attribute.

Already big improvement in his second game. Though against a very easy opponent tbh.

And his pace is definitely sufficient for his role.
