I agree. Looking past his age and the type of player he is, the main problem is still his infuriating complacency. Instant re-selling and getting some of the money back is appealing but unrealistic both because of Turan being hell-bent and our board's inefficiency so right now our best hope os that he fixes his head and the rest (physical form, ambition to contribute to wins/trophies) will follow.

He had half a season to at least show he cared to be here and he blew it. If he was a B team player he'd have been released on a free, but unfortunately we had to pay all that money for him.

I've already thoroughly dissected the blatant lie that he waited for 6 months. Late August to January isn't 6 months, it's 4 and some change. A football season doesn't run all year long, ffs. And it's not like he didn't spend all of that time training with the team to learn how they play. In fact, if his problem was just adapting, the argument that he needs more time wouldn't be total bullshit. When he steps out there it's clear as day that he isn't going to give any effort. It's clear he doesn't want to. It's clear he won't be contributing much to the team, either. He's just happy to be out there, and I'd rather let Rafinha or Roberto go out there and give their all (Even if it's less quality than what the supposedly "World class" Arda can do) than let Arda go out there and turn invisible from a lack of effort.

When he signed for us he paraded around how happy he was to leave Atletico because he hated having to run. That should have been a major red flag but at the time most people (Myself included) ignored it. He doesn't deserve anything. He is a cancer to the team and should be disposed of as soon as humanly possible, 6 months of waiting be damned. If you want to make a case for a player really needing more time, you could point to Vidal, but unfortunately for him he just generally doesn't seem like he'd be good enough even if given two or three more seasons to adapt.

How on earth you reached that conclusion ! What would prevent him from being the World Class Arda he was for long time at Atleti ? You're just saying it like you've already seen the future .. I repeat he is Arda not Espinosa, nothing would prevent him from performing better than Rakitic by the beginning of the coming season .. If you was judging Rakitic based on his performances in the 1st half of 2015-2016 like you're judging Arda you would've been saying the same about Raki now .. he won't be good enough even if given two or three seasons, although he just needed a couple of matches after mid season and he turned into a GOAT !

Talking about Roberto, If just Enrique didn't suddenly change his mind and kept him last summer, Roberto would've left as a player who has never proven anything at Barcelona .. Based of your logic he would've a player who won't prove anything even if given two or three seasons .. Roberto has played 2575 first team minutes before the start of 2015-2016 .. that's more than double the minutes Arda got with Barca's first team .. Roberto has proven NOTHING in these 2575 minutes .. then proved EVERYTHING in the last 2800 minutes he played .. the 2800 minutes that he would've never played if Enrique's logic was yours

- Not to forget mentioning that Roberto has always been here, learning Barca system. When he reached the 1st team he was already totally adapted to it
