He has a lot to prove , i don't care about a good match or two .. he needs to justify our investment in him

for what it Worth he did look good today , helped defensively and did ok in the offense . he needs to build on these late performances and go forward

He indeed has a lot to prove.. But I think he is currently on the right path to justifying money Barca payed for him.. He has 3 goals on his name in the last 2 matches.. He should be playing up front and he will give us a lot ;)

Starting to show why we bought him and he's on the path to salvation. Didn't like this signing from the start but hope this continues as no one wants our players to flop. Still got a lot to prove though

He was doing that at Atletico before though, he usually plays at that level.. He just had 6 months off and took a while to fit into our system.

Yep, it's baffling how people are still behaving like he's some sort of bad player who has had a lucky string of 2-3 good games. No, he was one of the best creative players in the league before he signed for us, one of the key players of a title-winning and Champions League finalists Atletico, and he's now beginning to play at that high level with a comeback in form.

So, the reality here, most likely, is that he is an excellent player who's had a bad 6-month slomp due to a lot of different factors. His lack of quality was never one of those factors, so it's perfectly logical that once he's better integrated, and once he doesn't have to stay on the sidelines for 6 months, the quality is beginning to show through.

It`ll be interesting to see our line-up next week. With Neymar back and Iniesta still injured, Lucho will have a choice of Neymar and Arda at LW, with Neymar a probable starter and LCM position between Denis and Arda. I like Denis, but definitely would like to see can Arda play at this level in LCM position. If he ends up on the bench again, he could lose his current momentum.

Neymar should really take a break, but if not, it would be interesting to see if Arda actually can't play in the LCM position or if it was just a matter of adaption and playing time.

barcelona has the firepower to blow 80% of La Liga out the water with 1/3 of its squad. Arda was bought to make the difference against the big teams, not against a band of losers lead by Poyet. When we need a goal against a good team - when we need something different in a second leg Semi Final of the CL - does Arda have the ability to justify his price tag?

We had a complete starting-XI when we bought Arda. He was brought here for us to have a top-level substitution when our FW/MF starters aren't all available. Or maybe even eventually earn a starting place for himself. But there was no imminent big responsibility on his shoulders when he was first brought here. And so far, his best game for us was a title-deciding second leg game, in which he scored two goals.

In the second leg vs Atletico in CL when Barca couldnt score Arda came on and played well.

The starters have the first responsobility to beat team in tight CL game etc and one of main reasons they failed last season as the front three were knackered and had played too much.

The main role for the likes Arda is there to give more rest to the starters without team quality declining too much. Allowing them to be fresher when needed.

Much smaller role is him expected to come on and change a big game.

It's not gonna work
We tried it and failed
We found his best position, let us stick to that

He is playing in the position, me and many have been calling for him to play from day one.

This!

In Barca system he belongs somwhere in the front 3, if you drop him back to midfeild when Neymar returns his performances will once again drop.

THIS.

Arda has found his position. No point shoving him into midfield when we are stacked there and he doesn't fit.
