first 11 yeah its good enough couple of key injuries though and its curtains need a lot of luck to win the treble no matter how good a team is

same thing last season.
but at least last season we had like insurance policy(yaya) when we need to keep things in order( villareal, inter)

Yes, no doubt! Our club hace the same first team, plus Villa and Adriano... the structure is the same...

we lack strength in the middle of the pitch. too many little guys who will get outmuscled in the big games. we didn't win 6 trophies in one season by being physically weak, we did it by finding the right balance between beauty and the beast if you will. right now, we are all beauty, not enough beast. we will be found out against games vs the top teams if we do not sign some reinforcements before the window closes. i'm telling you right now, this team is too unbalanced. look at our transfer dealings, we sold toure, marquez, chyg, and henry, and picked up adriano and villa - so selling strength and picking up little nimble men. the balance is way off!!

GOD FORBID if pique gets injured...can you imagine what teams will do to us?? we will be back to the barca of old that couldn't defend set pieces and were physically weak.

I do agree with Adil that the midfield is one area we may need to look at. Amazing technical ability of course, but i dont think it would harm us to find or add a bit of steel there. That is why im in favour of the possible Mascherano signing.

I'm worried about our defence... we could use some alternatives to the usual faces, and 1 or 2 more midfielders would be of great use. Wish we had kept Marquez and Yaya...

Wish we had kept Marquez and Yaya...

don't say that too loudly on these forums my friend. the usual suspects will jump out and label you a lunatic and vehemently denounce your posts as psychobabble. haven't you heard, busquets has the strength of 10 men and 5 bears...

UGHHHHHHHHHHH PEP PLEASE SIGN SOME DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDERS!

we really didnt have a choice with yaya now did we?

of course we did. had we treated him with respect this season and shown him that we wanted him to stay, he wouldn't have left. but he was treated like a nobody right from the start of the season, even though he was a crucial piece of the puzzle in our record breaking previous season. one or two bad performances in the start, and kazaam, just like that its like he was nothing. yes you are absolutely right that when the window opened this time around, we had no choice in the matter because of the preceding events, but we certainly could have approached the last 12 months differently.

alas, what's done is done. now its essential we sign some players that can give us some muscle. senna, masch, anyone! the team needs balance if we want to win the CL and la liga titles again!

Oh god I knew it was only a matter of time adil.

*Cue the violins*

you can cue the violins in march when we are in 3rd place in the league, out of the CL, and we are physically weak. that's exactly what's going to happen unless we sign some steel. we worked so hard to build a team that wouldn't get overpowered by opponents, and now we are back to square one. it's not about me or you, it's about what is best for the club. and what could be better than winning 6 titles in a year?? we didn't do that by sheer skill, we had the perfect combo of skill and strength. we have a formula we know works. why are we messing around??

i'm just not confident this team has what it takes to win the double.

silky seems to find something funny.

he won't be laughing in march if we don't make some new signings for the DM position.

tell me, you really think this team as it stands has the strength to come up and defeat the likes of united, chelsea, inter?

this squad is unbalanced, too many little guys and not enough steel. wait and see.

im laughing at you trying to convince everyone your continual rants about the DM position are about the the team, when your clearly pining after your lost lovee Yaya Toure
