Will Messi even return? He hasn't said anything regarding the statements he made after they lost to Chile.. and it's pretty rare to hear messi say those kind of things.. he's probably gone for good.

Everyone is speechless about the mess of AFA. Messi's silence should not be a surprise. At least until they hire a coach. I am all for giving a chance to the younger generation like Gallardo or Berizzo. Enough with the oldfarts experience.

Too bad AFA is too stingy to pay.

Lol, AFA don't even have the money to travel to Madrid and meet Simeone, legit, Veronica Brunati reported it yesterday I think or retweeted the story. How will they pay Sampaoli?

Not gonna lie this is just sad to me. And as a Brazilian, I usually revel in their failures. Corruption is a bitch smh.

Doubt that will happen. Who would actually want to take the position, with all the issues the AFA needs to resolve?

Whatever happens, Maradona should not even be allowed near the premises of the AFA building (if they even have one anymore). I still can't believe they actually let him coach the 2010 WC squad. Jesus. It's like they want to make sure Messi never surpasses Maradona's feats.

He's currently sao paulo's coach. I don't think he's really an improvement on tata. Sigh.

Did you expect an upgrade over Tata?
He might not be at the level required for such NT,but he is still one of their best and there was little chance they would be able to attract the better coaches.

If the organization hadn't been so corrupt in the first place, they would have been able to afford to pay Sampaoli's clause or heck even sign him before he agreed a deal with Sevilla.

That said, I don't know much about him. Perhaps he'll prove to be a pleasant surprise. Either way, I suspect he and AFA will have a lot of convincing to do if they want Messi back. Crucial for them to not lose or draw too many qualifying games until then.
