Spahic should have had a red card too then. Deliberate rake down the inside of Kun's leg. No wonder he retaliated. A bit like Luiz elbowing him in the stomach.

I rewatched the video again and Spahic should've gotten a yellow at the most for his high leg. No way that is a red. Aguero's on the other hand was a deliberate attack on Spahic without the ball being in sight.

So sabella said Willy is not an option for the wc, already said Romero is his number 1 keeper and the other 2 are locks as well.
His dumb decisions like these decrease Argentina's chances.

It was expectable tbh. I just hope, beside his favoritism in choosing players (which all the other former coaches had as well) he can manage the team well when the WC begins. That's the most important thing.

Becoming one isn't that difficult, getting such prestigious jobs is  Argentina have so many talented players but their coaches..

What do you think the starting lineup will look like in Brazil?

------------------Romero------------------
-Zabaleta-----Garay--Otamendi----Ansaldi-
------------Mascherano-Banega-----------
-Di Maria-----------Messi---------Agüero-
-------------------Higuain----------------

Subs:
Andujar
Campagnaro
Fernandez
Rojo
Musacchio
Gago
Pastore
Lavezzi
Lamela
Palacio

Something like this perhaps?

Sabella won't make any significant changes to the squad who's got him the results through the qualifying campaign.

Anything other than the following, and i'll be genuinely surprised...

------------Romero-------------
Zab------Garay---FF-------Rojo
---------Masch----Gago-------
-----------------------Di Maria
-------------Messi------------
--------Higs-------Aguero-----

Aguero will mostly likely sit for another MF, if Sabella wants be play a bit conservative. Banega or Biglia in for Gago if he's injured.

Depending on the circumstances, the bench could see a new face or two. But the XI is pretty much set in stone.

^The qualifying campaign has shown Sabella favours Higs over Aguero.

Also, when the fab 4 start, there really isn't a defined formation, as they interchange so much. Its a loose 4-2-2-2. With Higs working the right channel, when required, and Aguero acting 9, combining with Leo. Di Maria and Leo 've free roles. They are everywhere.

Man how biased does someone have to be to ignore Caballero in favour of the GOAT romero

The Romero vs Caballero has been done to death in Argie forums, and whilst the majority favour the latter, most of us 've accepted even if reluctantly, that Sabella is too stubborn to change his #1, esp when you consider Caballero didn't even get a look-in for the friendlies, following extensive call for his inclusion after his Madrid heroics.
