Bottled it again.

Don't even care how it ends now. 4-0 after 20 minutes is humiliating. Arsenal really need a response now against United and against Liverpool in the FA cup.

They responded convincingly with a clean sheet against Chelsea after the 6-3 against City so I'm still positive about this. Just need to go back to the basics and defend deeper again.

Today alone confirmed there's no chance of the Gunners winning the league title...Absolutely collapsed like a flan in a cupboard, Mesut gone MIA once again in big matches...I'd blame Wilshere & Cazorla as well for failing to give much protection to the German but they were woeful in dealing with the pressure...2 of the goals easily Mesut's fault while a 3rd was offside but otherwise, despite having more possession, were toothless

Very nuanced as usual. I can give you plenty of examples of teams completely collapsing and then going on to win the title. This isn't over yet...

They're still within a chance. Just a horrible result for them and their defending was rubbish.

You've been exposed against the top 5 teams in the league, it is over

Okay, the results against the top 5 are following;

Arsenal - Liverpool 2-0
Arsenal - Chelsea 0-0
Arsenal - Everton 1-1

And then there's the shit results;

Manchester City - Arsenal 6-3
Liverpool - Arsenal 5-1

To be honest, the City game was just weird. The entire defense was shocking but that was probably the best attacking display that has been produced this season. Scored 3 and got 2 goals wrongly canceled for offside. And had a penalty after a handball denied. In other words, when Wenger said "we could have scored 6" he really meant that. It should have ended 6-6 or at least 6-5 (we never know if they would have scored the penalty).

And this game today was just a complete collapse. Everything went wrong.

Manchester United bottled it against Newcastle in 1996-1997 and lost 5-0. Who won the title? United did. They also had similar results against Liverpool and City ( City won the league on goal difference though) a few years ago. It doesn't necessarily mean much.
It's a marathon. A few games here and there are not defining, no matter how much you lot and the pundits want you to believe that.

The win against Liverpool was in November, hardly has anything to do with form now does it?...You were inferior to Everton, toothless against Chelsea and battered against City & Liverpool

The bigger picture is that in the key portion of the season, Arsenal are failing against the top 5...Not too many teams vying to win a title can say they were outplayed by the others in the top section of the table yet come out on top...It would take injuries from their opponents at this point to help Arsenal stand a chance

This run of 9 matches now will define your season...We'll see how they fare against a revamped United but dropping points there would spell doom with Everton, Chelsea & City still ahead for you lot

Right, so a result in December can be relevant but not one in November? If you want to talk about current form than none of them are relevant. Your agenda doesn't allow any room for that though. You were called out on your bullshit and you couldn't come up with a proper answer.

Outpressed against Everton, but still created the more dangerous chances. Toothless against Chelsea? Well, sure, it was a low risk game and none of the teams wanted to gamble. A draw was fair.
Didn't get battered against City... I repeat - it should have ended 6-6. The result against Liverpool today was terrible though. The performance was even worse. The worst I've ever seen actually.

You don't even necessarily have to be dominant against the top sides to win a league anyway. The total amount of points is all that matters and it's very likely that both Chelsea and City will drop some points against lesser sides. Arsenal rarely do that. All they can do now is to be more defensive away from home against top sides. Like they've been in the CL with great success.
Their results at home against top sides are still decent. And also, the top 5 changes all the time anyway and if you look at their results against the teams in the top 8 you'll realize that they're pretty decent.

You're entitled to your opinion but saying that it's over because they've been exposed against top sides is just bullshit. If you want to make such predictions then at least say that it's your opinion. Don't say it like it's a fact.

Yes, it's called form...Arensal are in poor form against the top sides, currently...Comparatively, the others are in better form than Arsenal when it comes to play against the top sides...Don't sulk because your team is dropping like a rock

Outpressed and outpassed, don't frame the narrative to suit your agenda...Wenger was exposed tactically time after time and Mou, despite his parked bus, realized all he needed was a draw - you lot needed to win, you didn't...When you head to the Wayne Bridge, that will be reminded to you

Didn't get battered against City... I repeat - it should have ended 6-6. The result against Liverpool today was terrible though. The performance was even worse. The worst I've ever seen actually.

Battered is battered and at the end of the day, the reality is that you have to get the points off the others in the top 5 otherwise Arsenal are merely pretenders

Your infantile reaction aside, this is a forum filled with opinions, how can any of it be a fact?...You are indeed the master of the obvious

When you've had a chance to collect yourself, look at your form against the other top sides and the schedule left, reason should return to reflect Arsenal have bottled it again...You lot will be fighting for 4th is my guess

"It was a very poor day. We were poor defensively, offensively," Wenger told BT Sport. "Only our fans were good for 90 minutes. All the rest, we were poor. Liverpool played very well, so congratulations to them. But it was a poor performance on a day when we couldn't afford it.

"Of course it raises some questions today because we were caught many times and were naive. Defensively we need to be more stable. Today we were too open. From the front to the back we were not at the level we are used to."
