wenger out if you lose?

Wenger is Arsenal. The things he has done for the club has earned him the right to leave on his own terms. Still, if we lost it would probably cost us many points in the long run. Losing to spurs really dents the team's confidence.

Anyways, great fucking win :party1:. I still think this season is a wash though. Apart from the carling cup (which we still might find a way to ruin), I just see us getting 3rd/4th and having something to build on for next year. We won't lose anyone important this summer, and I can safely say that for the first time in 7+ years. The bigger question though, is, will the board give Wenger the backing he needs to make improvements? So far all I've seen is replacing people that already left. All that's good for is jogging in the same place. 2 steps forward 2 steps back.

You won't loose any1 important, because there is no1 important left to loose (except cazorla) =P

We won't lose Cazorla. We went for older players on longer deals so we have them secured in their prime. Cazorla won't leave so soon after joining and he turns 28 next Month.
We could possibly lose Sagna though. His contract is up soon and he might not renew. He still has 3 world class years left in him.

Ox is inconsistent, as expected. Something Wenger understands that the England coaches don't. His international call ups came too soon. He's shown flashes of brilliance such as against Milan but he's got a lot to learn. Will be a huge star, but it's too soon.

Everyone is on a long contract, except for Theo and Sagna. This means we can go into the summer transfer window for the first time in 7 years, knowing that our spine is secure. No major changes need to be made to the defense, midfield, or attack. Just a good preseason and a new winger/fullback. What needs to happen is us winning something this year (Carling Cup or FA cup would do), then build on it by strengthening the squad over the summer.

you really think all arsenal need is a winger and a full back, you think that carthorse giroud can fire you to the title? as for the spine being secure, sagna and walcott are key players in the squad, they could both go, if barca come knocking for vermaelen he'll be off too, it will take a PSG level of spending for arsenal to win the title next season, you will also need arsene wenger to learn how to organise a defence over the summer........

Giroud can be a solid 25-30 goal striker for us, that much is certainly true. His movement is brilliant and he never stops running, chasing every lost cause. Once he gets used to the pace of the premier league, as well as getting on the same wavelength as Wilshere and Cazorla, we'll have a striker to rely on. If a clueless donkey like Ade could score 30 goals with us, and if fucking Bendtner could score 15 as our 3rd choice benchwarmer, then Giroud (who has superior skill and attitude) definitely will surpass them both. Arsenal is a club that gets the best out of strikers (who are not named Jeffers), he'll be thereabouts soon enough.

Sagna leaving will be a bit of a blow, but he's turning 30 in a few months and suffered from 2 leg breaks in a year. Regardless of whether he was leaving or not, there will be a decline, and Carl Jenkinson's rise came at a perfect time. As for Vermaelen going to Barca, it won't happen for at least 2 seasons. He signed a new contract and was made captain. That should at least give us one more season... right?
