Cazorla is a great signing it must be said. Real or City should of really signed him.

Not really, he's guaranteed games at Arsenal he wouldn't be at either Real or City neither Mourinho or Mancini would be able to see the value in the little Spaniard and City especially have way too many midfielders than they know what to do with

24 pts for my fantasy team, too bad I didn't pick him as my captain. Excellent performance from him, Podolski had a great game as well, Walcott looked annoyed but got his goal in the end, Wilshere played well although got frustrated. Good show!

You'd get frustrated if you got a boot to the bollocks too

Or Barca.

He is way better than Alexis me thinks. Madrid and Barca have left too much talent to leak to the EPL. Either of Cazorla, Silva, Mata, Aguero and Yaya would easily have been starters for Madrid. We could use Aguero or Cazorla, and even Mata, instead of Alexis and Pedro.

I don't think Aguero is too good on the wing, not to mention he probably wouldn't fit our tiki-taka style too well.

So because Cazorla has been showing his class for Arsenal we now want to kick our momentary inconsistent players to the curb? I don't recall Barça raving about Cazorla when he was in our friggin' league. There is such a thing as having too many class players. Not all players who can get regular starts at other clubs are going to be happy with increased squad rotation and fans wanting them benched if they have an off period. Our squad is fine, lets wait till we pull a Madrid, sitting points behind in the table and having our main man not even second best in the league before we start complaining. Alexis is not a product of La Masia he needs time, time most Barcelona fans aren't willing to give him it seems

Momentary inconsistent? Tell me please, how many goals have Pedro and Alexis scored cumulatively in their last 60 appearances or so? That is not momentary, it is quite permanent.

And how much time does Alexis need exactly? I think we have seen enough of him to evaluate so that we can evaluate. If he picks his form up a bit, that would be the momentary or the temporary for me. I would expect him to return to his long term average.

Villa furthermore, is highly unlikely to regain form after his injury. So, the naked reality is that minus Messi, we have 0 goalscorers. That this is lost on so many Cules just because we are leading Madrid (some of our games were lucky victories, Osasuna, Betis, Sevilla and even Granada)

Wait until we draw a Juve, or a Bayern, or a Madrid, and Messi will have to shrug off 7 defenders time and again. Just because we can beat Celta Vigo and Mallorca and Getafe, it does not mean that we should be 100% happy with all of our players.

Oh yes a 23 year old is clearly showing what he's going to be like in years time in a season and a half... Messi is something out of this world, not every young player is going to be as good as him so early. And bringing up goal scoring just doesn't work for a team like Barcelona, Pedro isn't our target man or someone who's in our tactics to always get the ball to, if he was he'd score more. Last season he was Don Pedro and fuck Sanchez for breaking up MVP now it's get rid of him for a player we paid no attention to until he moved to the EPL. Right. Each to their own mate, I'm just not a fan of this attitude so many Barcelona fans seemed to have picked up over the past few years

Pedro and Sanchez aren´t flashy enough players for Barcelona. We need Neymar and Aguero.Would only cost us around 100 million. :tito:

Pedro has 2 goals + 8 assists in 23 appearances (most of them starts)

Last season he had 13 goals and 3 assists in 48 appearances

Alexis scored 15 goals and 5 assists in 41 appearances last season

This season he has scored 1 goal and has 5 assists.

So, in total:

Pedrito: In 71 appearances he has scored 15 goals and assisted 11 times.

Alexis: In 59 appearances he has scored 16 goals and assisted 10 times.

In other words, Pedro has been scoring at a rate of 1 every 5 games, and Alexis 1 in every 4. And they are both assisting at rate lower of than the already low rate of their scoring.

But it is not just about goals and assists. Both of the are fundamentally unable to dribble past defenders and trouble opposing defenses so much most of the time. The ony positive thing about them is their workrate, but if workrate is only we care about, we could just buy some Celtic or Stoke players for example.

The problem with Pedro/Sanchez is not that they are not flashy. The problem is that they are not delivering. Not just goals and assists, but things like fast and accurate passing (our lifeblood) as well as getting past defenders.
