rooney is clearly wanting a way out of united...what are you lot waiting for? just sign him already and give your squad a desperately needed boost! if you are serious about competing you'd be looking to sign 3-4 top quality players are a few squad players as well. this rooney deal is a no-brainer though.

Wages is the big issue. Rooney's wage is about 3X as much as Arsenal's highest earner(walcott) so that is big problem.

of course he's a player for arsenal. versatile, strong, clinical, only a fool would argue that he would not strengthen the arsenal team. and so what if his wages are high, you have to pay high wages in order to attract the top players and improve your team. wenger has already said that they can afford wayne rooney, so then what's the hold up. either they really cannot afford him, or wenger is dumber than i thought to not bid for him. either way he is lying once again to arsenal fans who worship him.

We just signed him 1 year ago, Arsenal fans voted him player of the season, and he has said many times he and his family are very happy in London. Marca is just stirring shit as usual. because you are arsenal football club? you don't exactly have a good track record of doing what you say. you don't sign players you say you will sign, and you let players go who you insist are not for sale.

Not sure if there's much in this, but according to an ESPN Brazil reporter, we're about to sign Bernard from Athletico Mineiro. I'm pretty sure there's no way we're getting this kid. He's as good as Lucas Moura, Oscar, etc. and has already featured for the national team. I can see him ending up at Madrid or Barca, but not us.
