I think Houssem Aouar is a more similar Iniesta type than Arthur. Get rid of Denis, Gomes and Rafinha and sign Fabinho and Aouar. They are both versatile players who can cover numerous positions. Arthur can join in January. If he's good enough, he'll adapt just fine.

Arthur is a CM/CDM, Iniesta is more like AM/LM so he is not replacing Iniesta!

Yep. Arthur is more like Xavi (CM/DM) while Iniesta's more a CM/AM. that's why they played so amazingly well together, being both CMs but one a bit more defensive and the other a bit more attacking.

He really reminds me of Xavi in the way he controls the tempo and is comfortable on the ball. With Xavi it was never about assists, but about control, that's what's been lacking recently.
Obviously he still has a few things to learn, and it's yet to be seen how he handle's himself in suffocating spaces, but the signs are there, and it'd be great if he can start with the team in the summer, so that by the end of the year (December), he's already fully integrated.

He's on the reserve list though but yeah just unlucky timing.

Not that I know of. The only real bad injury he's gotten was that ankle injury after he got butchered during the first leg of the Copa Libertadores Final Back in November.
