Poor professionalism to come back out of shape when the business end of the season's about to start in 2 weeks.

This is the difference between being a legend and being an also ran.

If PSG coming knocking on the door this summer with an offer in the range of 100m I would sell the bloke immediately and use the funds to buy a proper attacking midfielder.

What planet are you on to thing anyone would offer 100 million for him?

If FDJ coming off that fire season (in the CL) got picked up for 75 m, there's no way this guy gets us 100 M. Even from the Parisian clowns.

At this point he's better at contracting STDs than he is playing football.

I bet this guy will never reach the level that a 32 year old Vidal currently plays at.

Too much Counter Strike with Neymar.

Needs to up his game. He’s got the Rakitic syndrome of not wanting to forward pass (even though Rakitic did have that through ball to Messi tonight)

Arthur's valuation at this moment stands at 70m on TransferMarkt.

He is a regular Brazil NT starter, has the Barca tag and can still offer a team that needs control in the midfield a lot. Every half decent player in Europe costs 50m today. There are not enough quality players on the market, but too much money in circulation. I don't see why a desperate United or PSG would not be willing venture into the 100m range.

We should see high on him now rather than wait until he's in his mid-twenties and the hype starts wearing off.

Yes a 'similar' player to Xavi...but only about 1/50 the talent and 1/1000 the discipline.

Basically, he's similar to Xavi in the same way that Gabriel Jesus is similar to R9.

Prime Xavi in that 5 year stretch RAN football.

08 Euro champ
09 CL champ
10 WC champ
11 CL champ
12 Euro champ

Most good-great players are happy with just 1 of these titles. Xavi won 5 in a row in 5 summers.

Arthur simply isn't that talented in the forward game. Lot of people can show Xavi control and pass stats in passing sideways/backwards. You need to do defense splitters or I'm not THAT impressed. I expect him to be a top 10 midfielder in the world at his best (if he ever has the discipline) or maybe top 5. Which is very good but nothing legendary.

It is more likely that he will be be on a verge of being a starter and a sub player for Barca than him turning into one of the best midfielders in the world:
1. horrible forward game
2. questionable defending
3. poor pace
4. horrible stamina
5. weight problems
6. poor professionalism

Even with a perfect professionalism and a perfect stamina, he would be a 30% of Xavi.
When you add all of these other issues, you get: it is what it is :valverde2:
