Arthur

worked for lukaku also, guy is killing it in italy. arthur could have same success there.

nope. we were comparing man utd vs inter. are you comparing being a reserve at barcelona to being a starter for inter, when arthur is still young?

and still, man utd will still have pulling power. they are not arsenal(even them can get arthur level players easily), yet.

Would you mind naming a few? Arthur gets severely underrated here. He may not be Xavi 2.0, but we will have a hard time finding clear cut improvements for reasonable prices (<80ME). I can only think of Thiago right now (and I dont want him back).

i'm not shitting on the man, but he is mostly injured for us and barely gets into some kind of form. if we can get a profit on him i don't see why it wouldn't be a good idea for both parties to part ways?

even them can get arthur level players easily- aubameyang, ozil, pepe - players that arsenal got which are not worse than arthur.

None of them created interest from top clubs (other than Ozil, who got happily sacrificed by Madrid), and none of them are CMs, who are much harder to find than some highlight forward players (or 10s).

As for why we shouldnt part ways with Arthur: Pjanic is a sideways step, maybe slightly better than him right now (debatable if you read some opinions of Juventus fans) and much worse in the near future. Even if we trade him 1 for 1 for a better midfielder - again who exactly? - we would still need more reinforcements in midfield.

It makes no sense getting rid of him other than to balance our books.

doesn't mean ozil is a worse player than arthur. my idea is that arthur is not indispensable and players like him can move to clubs like arsenal, inter or man utd. and it's not like many clubs are chasing him. for all we know only juve for now.

agree with you on pjanic or options not being easily available.

I would like Arthur to go to Juve and turn out great, it would prove my point about system...but Pjanic, I'm calling it early, will be a flop...he is another Rakitic

Arthur hasnt become the player we hoped for but trading him for a 30 year old Pjanic when our team already consists mostly of 30+ year old uncles is a plain dumb and retarded idea. Ok if Pjanic would have been an enormous upgrade, but he is not.

Our squad is old and past it and the last thing we need is another 30+ player that we need to be replaced in 2-3 years. Aim for 25-27 year olds ffs not 30 plusers.

If he's smart he stays at Barcelona, at least until a team closer to his profile makes a good offer. Juve is not a very good fit for him. They play completely different football than us.

City would fit best, Bundesliga teams would be interesting fit as well, but other than Bayern would be too big of a step down tbh. PSG would fit him very very well. Manchester United would be interesting for him too, considering they are going to soon be back in the top 10.

Lol this guy is going to go to Juve and in about 2 seasons he will end up at the train wreck that is AC Milan playing alongside players his level like Paqueta or Bonaventura.

Pjanic, even at his age, is an upgrade.

Hopefully we get rid of Rakitic too and bring in a younger midfield player as well.

I'm still averse to the idea of selling a young midfielder in exchange for a washed up midfielder with little to no resale value.

Now if another young midfielder is on the table, then I don't feel as strong as I used to about Arthur being unsellable.

Exactly. The rumours are Pjanic + 10m which means we’re buying a 30 year old player and valuing him at around 50/60m  Won’t believe anything until it’s official though.

We will be Milan at this rate in a few years. This is disgracefull. Even the average fan would be way better than this board when it cones to transfers.

Shocking that this rumor is still going on.

There’s too much smoke at this point. Unless these spanish papers hold no accountability to their journalists and allow them to make shit up for clicks.

Arthur fits Sarris Juventus more than any other team can think of.... if the plan is to play him in that Jorginho role when sits deep and keeps ball moving but not asked to do much else.

Seems perfect for him and what he has shown.

Almost passing for the sake of passing a lot of the time is how Jorginho used to look but Sarri sees a lot of value in it.

Likes of Man Utd wouldnt be interested in Arthur I doubt he would bring more what they want than likes of Fred does.
