Bigger L for Juve.

They paid 10m to make their squad worse and went from multiple champions to nothing.

Barca have the value of Pjanic to worry about and he has been too slow to play with Busquets but not has as big an impact on the standard of first team.

Pjanic is the better player and if neither did the transfer Juve would be stronger. Barca would be more or less the same.

Except we are paying Pjanic twice the wages Arthur had. Arthur can still be sold easily for 15 mil , while no one will pay anything near that amount for Pjanic.

LOL at reading the Juve forum and their fans thinking we got the better deal with Pjanic   I bet they haven't seen that snail play for us.

They have seen both for Juve and Pjanic is better player. For Barca would rather Pjanic play than Arthur but that is not any great praise.

For Barca both would have been back ups. For Juve starters.

No wonder they are pissed off getting Arthur.

In retrospect wasn't a bad deal. Offloaded a player that was stinking up the place for another player that can't do worse.

I would expect that is the reason for the 10m difference in fee to cover wages.

So more or less same fee really.

Who is even paying 15m for Arthur? More clubs would pay that for Pjanic I think and they have same issue of Arthur being massively overpriced on books. Even more so.

In terms of age and finances can see how Pjanic worse but impacts on current squad Juve got worse end of deal by far for this season.

Except we're now seemingly stuck with a player we're going to have a hard time moving on from

Pjanic's age, salary and transfer value in the books is going to make it tough.

So that is where Adolfo Gaitch ended up.

Last season we were linked to him, now Arthur is providing him assists.

Barca withdrawal symptoms confirmed.

Not great trying to get off books with amortized cost but it is cash that will be more important that that and can try to cover that with sale of other players.

Selling him this season would lose around 30m from books if went for free as opposed to in squad again.

They might try to loan him out first to get a loan fee + his salary off the payroll.

Barca got lucky Pedri turned out great. They signed Pjanic to be a starter or at least 3rd in the pecking order.

We might've sold Arthur last summer, before he showed everyone what a bum he really was.

Hard to say who has it worse.

Everton been linked and could see clubs in Italy being after him but not sure how much a loan fee get with his wages but seems most likely.

More clubs be interested in him than Arthur I think.

If can put right players to cover for him can still be an asset to clubs... Arthur not sure what clubs would even see that they want in him.

Indeed we got very lucky with Pedri. Juve didn't get so lucky. They signed Arthur to essentially be a definite starter and what's sad is the rest of their mids are only slightly better, if not the same quality, as Arthur.

On a side note, I really see Arthur playing back in the Brazilian league or the Turkish league in a year or two. He just does not have any redeeming qualities. His stamina is also shockingly bad for a 24 year old
