Arthur

Arthur fits Sarris Juventus more than any other team can think of.... if the plan is to play him in that Jorginho role when sits deep and keeps ball moving but not asked to do much else.

Seems perfect for him and what he has shown.

Almost passing for the sake of passing a lot of the time is how Jorginho used to look but Sarri sees a lot of value in it.

Likes of Man Utd wouldnt be interested in Arthur I doubt he would bring more what they want than likes of Fred does.

Maybe Sarri plans to change things, and that's why he wants Arthur. Because the traditional Juve (the one from Conte and Allegri days) is a bad fit imo.

no doubt we'll spend it all on someone much older and worse

We won’t really be getting that money. Would just be another shady swap deal like Neto-Cillessen. They buy Arthur for €80M, we buy Pjanic for a bit less, 10M according to rumors.

That would be deal of the century in post covid times if it was straight cash. But it will probably be a Neto Jesp type deal where we end up buying Pjanic for 62.5m.

bad deal if it happens. Arthur is one of the best in the world when it comes to keeping posession.

We'll also spend the money on a much worse deal.

Is this for Real? It's not a bad price for Arthur.

That's true. Whatever money we gain will waste. So technically even if we get decent money, we will blow it on someone we don't even need..

Arthur was never going to become the player he was hyped up to be and taking his off field and fitness issues in mind, selling him for anything above ?60mil is great business if we can reinvest in a midfielder that compliments Frenkie. if however we buy Pjanic, wake me up when this disgraceful board is gone.

I'd be very tempted to offer Bayern money for Thiago rather than go for Pjanic, he's got a year left on his contract and still hasn't renewed.

Would think there is next to no chance that Juve are 'buying' Arthur unless Pjanic leaves to Barca.

Most likely all that has happened is that they have agreed 80m for Arthur as a next step to then negotiating fee for Pjanic.

I really don't understand this trend of reporting player swaps as individual deals.

It's ~10M + Arthur for Pjanic. Just report it as that...
