Arturo Vidal

It’s amazing to me to think that you have the right as a player to temper-tantrum your way into the starting 11. A perfect example of this is Thierry Henry. Henry was TWICE the player Vidal was for us, in Pep’s debut season, I’d say only Messi and Xaviniesta were more integral to our success that season but he scored massive goals for us that season and easily had his best season with us.

Despite all of that, Pep called up Pedro next season and halfway through that season, Henry got benched for Pedro. Did he whine? No. Did he cause a fuss in the media? No. Did he throw a temper tantrum during training? No. He carried on, took the time that he did get and then promptly moved onto RBNY, why? Because he’s a fucking professional.

I’ve always liked what Vidal brought to this squad but he simply has to go after this, immediately in January. I wanted him to potentially be able to win the CL with us but if he can’t realize that he is a squad player here with other players much better suited to start for us, simply needs to leave. He was never technical enough to be a starter here.

That's what happens when you have a manager with no authority and a locker-room ran by the players. Everybody thinks he is entitled to have this or have that.

True. I like Vidal too, but this is unacceptable behavior. Valverde needs to have tougher hand with the players. They are doing whatever they want.

Exactly. Rakitic crying to the media another example. A strong manager would play him less after that childish bullshit.

Unacceptable behaviour and this would be one tantrum too many for me but can you imagine being stuck behind a finished Busquets and the useless rakitic in the pecking order, oof.

Football sadly changed for the worse since then and footballers nowadays are simply put, much bigger pussies, who the moment they don't like something, go and cry wolf to the media. Not to mention all this is multiplied by 10 at Barca right now under Valverde and this Board, no professionalism or footballers or anyone in the club for that matter taking responsibility and being accounted for their actions, let it be on the pitch or off it.

Whining in the media because you’re not a starter is never going to be OK, but I think it’s just his (wrong) way to show his motivation. I like him being uncomfortable a las a sub, I like him wanting to play always. Ter Stegen did alot of whining and threatening to leave when Bravo was a the starter in la liga as well.

I like Vidal, I really do. But there's something very wrong with Barcelona when your ace sub when you need to score is Arturo Vidal.

He can't pass to save his life though. We should aim higher as a club.

His every pass is a first touch pass, 1-2s, a cross or passes near the touchline where he gets teammates into troubles.

People on a forum are talking about a new CF, a new left winger, a new CB.
What about midfielders?
Busi is done.
Raki is done.
Vidal is done and a weird fit.
Roberto is not a midfielders.

What is left?
1. Frenkie
2. and Arthur, who is quite close to become a new Dembele due to injuries or being sidelined for majority of a season.

We will need a lot of new midfielders in 1-2 years.
