Arturo Vidal

I agree...though one very tragic highlight of this episode is that it shows the extent of the financial mess we're in. I was pining for some "fantasy" transfers of potential future superstars (I.e. Mbappé and etc) to take the mantle off of Messi for the future. I guess we are unable to buy anyone meaningful, in the long run, and guarantee future success

How does it highlight a financial mess? Can't see it.

Anyway, we shouldn't budge on this. If no verbal or legal agreement was made between Vidal and Barca, we should no let him go easy. He was bought for 30m on rather high wages and isn't some legend or player we owe favors to (as far as I know). And we certainly don't owe Inter favors, I'm still pissed at the Rafinha case.

Barca should make an evaluation of his worth for us, and that will be the exactly price he will be sold for - or higher. If he got a problem and drops form, he can be benched, if he spreads negative energy on purpose he will be put to out of trainings (if legal). If the club evaluates he is playing tricks with those court demands or in any other way, we should return the favor, and bench him. He has a contract he needs to respect, and we have our dignity and respect to consider. I'm so tired of having merchants with no fucking morale here, even in the Umtiti case we should have considered just selling him after those media United mind games - but that's a different case.

If the contract terms really does have that severe room of interpretation, the club has fucked up'd yet again...

Erm, unable to pay players? (IF he's within his contractual rights)

Plus, remember this?

It's a disagreement on contract terms / clauses, and nothing points to we are unable to pay him silly 2-3m euros nor us trying to squeeze that little money out of his pocket because we are in a "every penny counts"-situation.

We are in the wrong here

⚖️ Arturo Vidal is taking legal action against Barça for 2.4M in unpaid bonuses that he believes he's due. Barça disagree saying that Vidal misinterpreted his own contract.

⚖️ Vidal would get a bonus if he played 60 games but as Barcelona stipulates in their contracts, to be considered a game played, the player must play a minimum of 45 minutes.

⚖️ Vidal didn't fulfill 60% of the games and therefore, received half of the bonus.

Please bin this "warrior" cunt in January for 10m or whatever Inter are willing to pay for him and don't look back. He does not bring nearly enough on the pitch for us to put up with his rubbish off it.

Well I hope that is stipulated in the contract because if its not, we've fucked up again.

Just get rid of this idiot now and than get rid of Rakitic in summer. IMHO it's the only logical thing to do since both of them are well past their prime not to mention Vidal is showing a clear lack of respect towards the club. In any case we need to continue rebuilding our midfield so we'll for sure need to buy one CM and one AM next summer.

Yes. We need to replace these two ASAP.

Yeah but since we can't get rid both of them in winter and Vidal has an offer from Inter it's clear we should start with him. I hope we won't be stupid and we won't stop him from leaving. This is basically our last chance to cash in on him.

Regarding Rakitic I fear the only realistic chance for him is going back to Sevilla next summer. Biggest problem wit Raki is Raquel. She doesn't wan't to leave Spain and he has no balls to make a call without her approval.
