You can't compare our spending and Peps. More than a half of those 400 mil that we spent was on 2 players that haven't even played a full match for the club.

That could be another topic too as Barca has to earn what they spend and don't have sugardaddies capable of injecting endless amounts of oil money.

i used this website for reference on the numbers
https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-barcelona/alletransfers/verein/131

i agree no one has spent the numbers pep has because this market is still developing a lot but prior to madrid winning the 10th champions league they nearly spend a billion trying to achieve that trophy for so many years, and it didn't work.. until they found the right manager
they failed to beat peps team as-well the guy you are criticizing

chelsea, PSG, manchester united (as of late), Madrid prior to 10th, all spent a lot and had many failures in charge

if pep doesn't win the Champions League by next season then he'll also be considered a failure but for now, his league run is incredible.
it also looks like he's built a team filled with young mega stars for the future

Let’s not forget they were trying to get Sanchez as well.

Feels like Pep is just signing top players for fun these days without even needing them.

Lol

By getting himself best available toys to suit him rather than adapting the game plan to players. Legit option but nothing noble or genius about it.
So yeah, basically recycling with unlimited budget. One can admire copy of Mona Lisa too but it's still a fake.

What Valverde does with Barca is more admirable. Nevermind what Simeone is doing year after year and human part of the story in it.
Ev has Messi and Busquets . enough said
:)

Pep being insecure/defensive and with, what looks to me, a dig at current Barcelona.

They've spent 300 mill but they've done it on six players while "others" spent it on 2. Completely ignoring that we fecking sold one of our best players for 220 mill. Otherwise we wouldn't be close to those numbers. He would spend those money regardless because they don't have to worry about balancing shit. Oil continues to flow out of their ass.

I'm beginning to dislike him more and more. The less said about that club the better.

A Pep quote on Sky Sports a couple of days ago:

Pep Guardiola said:
When you want to handle four competitions sometimes you have to be lucky with injuries. Otherwise you need 22 top players for every position. People don't believe this, but today 22 top players is too expensive to buy, even for City.

Their salaries we cannot pay. There are budgets for the transfers and we cannot pay. In the future, it may change but we haven't paid more than £80m-£100m for one player. We cannot pay that right now, it is the truth.

That's why we need the academy to fight. Of course, we spend a lot money but it is the same money as a lot of other teams. I can assure you we are not the only team in the world that spend money.

Sure Pep, sure...

Barca legend, great manager but an ass of a person. That was obviously a dig at us.

Sane injured for 5 weeks: "Holy shit we absolutely have to buy Mahrez" going by the reports. It's a joke.

Btw, how much for those players salary, bonuses and agent fees? Yeah thought so.

I mean I respect pep for what he's done for us but something screams arrogant about him these days. Only reason why we spent big on two players is because we lost Neymar, that's it. We might have decent money but we can't spend like 300 mil on a fly like City could.

Pep these days is basically younger version of Mou. Except Mou knows how to adapt to players and won European titles with fucking Porto and Inter.

Taking a dig at Barca from his oiled black tower makes me sick. Pep from 09 is dead. Sooner his fans realize it the better.

Yeah, Porto and Inter were littered with crap players like Deco, Carvalho, Sneijder, Milito, Etoo, Zanetti etc.

Mou's success seems to be more romanticized with each passing year. Next thing you know people will say that he won CL with Pacos Ferreira and Sassuolo. Still didn't win with Chelsea that spent over 200% more than the next big spending team. That doesn't count apparently.

If City can't win CL in the next 2 or 3 years Pep will be regarded as a mild failure. Hopefully he fucking doesn't.
