Sure but FC Barcelona is the club with most Ballon d'Or winners in history (10) as well as a the record holder for the most number of FIFA World Player of the Year awards (7).

Messi's legacy will always be bigger than that of C. Ronaldo.

Having said that then the value of the current Ballon d'Or is not the same as it once was IMO.
