PSG would have been worse I think, because they have several players who can really hurt us, more so than Atletico. Atletico, PSG, Bayern, in terms of difficulty for me. Real just in front of Atletico.

Damn, that Villarreal-Real-Atletico games are gonna be so tiring, followed by 2 away games.

It's a tough draw for us. I don't want to sound pessimistic, but I'm not sure if we can get the CL trophy this year. Repeating it is extremely difficult. Repeating it with a tough draw is nearly impossible. Repeating it with a tough La Liga schedule is surely impossible.

It will take an incredible effort from our team to win. If we beat Atletico then we are surely getting RM/Bayern. If we get RM I will be very happy but at the same time I will hate to play Bayern in just a one-legged tie if we meet in the finals. We can beat Bayern in 2 legs but I'm not sure about one leg. Too many factors that are critical in a one legged tie, mainly luck.

... but let#s get focused on Atletico first and foremos. This can get very tough !

People are only now realizing the schedule? A large portion of this forum wanted us to draw Real or Bayern. The schedule would be 10x worse if we got one of them.

Luckily Atletico wont be as intense or exhausting as Real or Bayern and Lucho is an expert at beating them.

As bullshit as the draw is, I would rather have Atletico over Bayern or Real, given our schedule.

Actually, our team looks fresh. With Lucho's awesome rotation, we would be able to deal with schedules like this. He really prepared for run of games like this. I'm confident we can reach the final again.

Be real. Beating Atleti takes more energy and focus these days than real and at almost on par with Bayern. It's the quarters. U play hard matches from here till the end to see what you're made of. Rather that than winning beating mediocre CL teams.

I didn't have this type of confidence even in Pep era. This team just thrives on the big stage it's incredible.

Really boring draw and predictable results . I would say though PSG VS MC could be a firecracker .

Barca vs Atletico = Not a fun game to watch if you are a barca fan and there is major concerns for inuries .
Bayern VS Benfica = Bayren will shred Benfica
Real VS Wolfsburg = Real will look real good at least for now

End results : Barca , Real , Bayren , PSG (not sure )

You're wrong.

Under Lucho, our meetings with Atletico haven't been hard matches. They don't offer anywhere near the attacking threat that Bayern or Real Madrid have. What they do have is a far better defense, but our attacking trio, who show no signs of stopping scoring, have had no issues scoring on them averaging 2 goals per game against Atletico.

The intensity of playing El Clasico or Bayern are worse than Atletico. El Clasico because Madrid WILL turn up in the CL. Bayern because we have a poor track record at the Allianz and they will score on us.

We also have the league Clasico right before the first leg of the CL. So over the course of 1.5 weeks you are looking at:

1) Real-Atleti-Atleti
2) Real-Bayern-Bayern
3) Real-Real-Real

I would take option 1 any day of the week over the others given our track record against Atletico.

Forgot which club forum it was in, but a user said exactly this: "Barca always have an unfair advantage. They are lucky to draw the good teams. It means they can stay in form and be prepared for future matches."


Not sure if the user was being sarcastic, but everyone was agreeing with him. I think it was Redcafe. #uefalona
