Barca elections 2015

Some on twitter found out they're backed by a big fruit and vegetables company.
but that's the only sponsor that allowed Benedito to disclose them. He said he has 3 more companies offering the same.

That's interesting, and if true, it would make the Qatar deal look even more shady than it currently looks.

No way this 'Flight Without Wings' product will ever pay 70-80m to sponsor Barca.

I would bet they have just chanced their hand at getting some free publicity and it suits Benedito to let them do it.

Interesting bit for yesterday's debate. Bartomeu saying he's being indicted by a "crime commited by Barça" ("Estic imputat per un delicte fiscal comès pel Barça").
It's impressive people will still vote for him.

Also, the numbers for last season are out. Only in catalan, but the income was 608, and profit 15. Without Qatar's sponsorship, or selling deulo, there would be debt. The wages also increased a lot, they were 73% of the income(€419m).

73% wow.

The great Faus has done a useless job all these years. Barely any significant difference from 2010 when they took over.

As for his comment then he's saying it like the waste collector signed the papers and not him and Rosell. Net debt increased too.

The net debt also increased, from 287m to 328m. The 608m was because of the treble... but their current economical model is unsustainable. Barça needing to sell players to not be in debt. As you said, nothing changed much since 2010, just the sponsosored jersey. Something the previous regime didn't have. I wonder where will the money for the new stadium come... Selling Messi?

Looks like the wage increase is mainly due to bonuses paid for the treble.

But still, these numbers look less than impressive. And of course Deulofeu's fee is included, but Arda's and Aleix Vidal's are not.

The net debt has still come down by around 200m since 2010 has it not?

This year is different in that they spent more last summer to cover a transfer ban and have both sponsorship and shirt manufacturing deals coming to the end of their life.

It is sustainable and not even close to being in a situation where top players need to be sold.

Yes, 67m in bonuses. Salaries are 352, but it's still too much.

Around 200m? Nope. This model only had a profit this year because of selling players and the sponsored jersey, jamdav. Cesc and Alexis also count for that, don't forget. But I wouldn't expect a different answer from you.

OK so it has come down by over 100m as opposed to increasing by over 160m in the two years before 2010.

Still nowhere close to being a situation players will need sold in and heading in the right direction with a summer of less spending and vastly increased shirt and manufacture deals on the horizon.

I was told by a lot of people on here that Laporta left no debt and I was quoting wrong figures. Now similar figures being used against Barto and they are taken as fact.

Those figures are from FCBarcelona official site, jamdav.

For someone who doesn't speak Catalan or Spanish, can someone tell me if our revenue has grown compared to last year's? If so, by how much?

Well, we only have three sources of income: (1) TV rights and match day sales (2) General merchandise sales and (3) Sponsorship and commercial deals. Not saying this in defense of Bartomeu's regime at all, just asking, how different could the model be?

Wage bill is definitely too big. Real has a right model. You join the best club in history not to get your last fat paycheck. You join to win trophies and play with world's best. Why not take a leaf from that book even if it's your rival's.
We instead offer players everything. From personal glory, trophies, wages and then top it all off by letting many of those players (not Barca home boys btw.) walk for nothing or pleasing them to choose who to join even if it hurts us. Like Villa. Who re-payed us for his astronomical wages, CL title, Ligas...with celebrating like a 19 y.o. boy scoring his first goal ever against his bitter rival.
I know he has many fans but he's a nothing but another douche who just happened to wear our shirt for few seasons.
