There is absolutely no need for a new forward.. we re just bloating the squad

Not true, we have lost Pedro , Sandro and Tello is the last couple of seasons without replacing either of them in the backup position. Our XI is perfect however our bench needs to be stronger. Juve,Madrid,PSG,Bayern and even City have an amazing bench. We need one to compete.

Sandro and Tello don't need replacements. Pedro was semi-replaced by Munir in his last season here and in the season that followed he was fully replaced by the kid.

Munir is nowhere near Pedro at his best. Settling for pseudo Pedro at his worst is kinda meh.
But its not the position that needs strengthening imo :)

Munir has not been nearly as prolific as Pedro is off the bench. Compare the stats and even if you account for the fact that in Pedro's last season, he played roughly double the minutes Munir did last season, Pedro still outperforms Munir. In Liga, last season Munir had 825 minutes with 3 goals and 2 assists while Pedro had 1531 minutes with 6 goals and assists each. Proportional to their La Liga minutes, they got about the same share roughly of CL minutes with Pedro again being more productive with 3 assists to Munir's 1.

Furthermore, Pedro's almost doubled amount of minutes demonstrates that Lucho clearly doesn't have the same amount of trust in Munir now as he did in Pedro's last season. We need a 4th forward who can actually make an impact from the bench and I'm sorry, I am not convinced Munir is that player for us currently and has not by the slightest stretch of the imagination surpassed Pedro's impact here.

I wasn't saying Munir is anywhere near Pedro's level, I was saying the role itself of being the primary MSN backup had been filled. That role in of itself is already the least important one, as any part of MSN is capable of winning a game by themselves, in the rare instance that one of the three are unable to perform. Our most ntoicable drop in quality was in our midfield, which has been thoroughly reinforced this summer.

Yeah we still need that 4th striker. Like a good 75% of us getting eliminated by Atleti last season in CL was the fatigue levels of that front three. Luis Suarez in particular started to look really tired, wasn't as dynamic in the runs he was making and always looked heavy out there. All three were hit really hard with the FIFA virus and its really important we don't burn out the front three again. A 4th striker with D.Suarez and Rafinha filling in up top, for me, was more important than an Andre Gomes, imo and it will help lessen the burden on MSN to allow them games to have a proper rest and keep them at optimum fitness for the big games when we need their magic the most.

I'm okay with us only winning, 1-0, 2-1 or 2-0 to lower LL teams if it means MSN is sharper in bigger matches than have 7-0 demolitions all the time but it ends up burning out the Gala XI. All we need is that 4th striker for me, and this in my opinion, will be by far our best summer window in recent memory.

Anyone think Neymar will be able to convince Gabriel Jesus?

I think Denis is as good an option to be that 4th option up front as any. The problem is we don't have an out and out striker. A huge trade off of having a player like Suarez holding the striking spot is no matter what type of forward we go for as his main sub, they'll either be too talented to want to ride the bench, too young to want to ride the bench, or too old to ride the bench and still be effective when called upon.

A world class 19-22 aged striker would be willing to sit behind Suarez for a chance to start for us in 2-3 seasons. Suarez will only be this good for a limited time, soon he will start slowing down.

I doubt you'll find a World Class 19-22 aged striker man. Especially one who's willing to sit behind Suarez for a chance to start in 2-3 seasons as that will really stall that player's development. It'd be the ter Stegen-Bravo situation we're seeing now.

Paulo Dybala.

I'd also argue Paco Alcacer, Anzwar El Ghazi, Mauro Icardi wouldn't be bad here at all. Maybe each aren't like Neymar at Santos level world class but they are definitely in that range.

Dybala would cost an arm and a leg and would still not be very happy riding the bench...
