Barca Transfers and Rumors

Great example. Allegri changed the system. From 4-4-2 (basically) to 4-2-3-1. He is relying more on the wingers and the free role Dybala.

Allegri is a great coach though. You need a great coach who has experience and knows how to get the most out of players.

That's the reason why we should solve the "manager problem" first and than together with this new guy Robert has to find solution for RB and CM/AM spot.

Juve still didn't convince me yet, so it's not right to call them as right example, because we still didn't see them vs a stronger midfield.

let's not forget one reality, we are competing with Real, while they are competing with noone in their league.

Arsenal asks for 60 m euros for 29 years old A.Sanchez with 1 year contract left. They are talking about 130 m euros fee for Mbappe. The figures for the market is very high nowadays because of English clubs. 80 m euros for Coutinho can be consided as cheap in this conditions.

l want us to move to 4-2-3-1, with Messi free role, with signing one deeplying playmaker and Dembele/B.Silva.

It's unrealistic to expect we'll sign two midfielders. In this moment one would be more than ok. When we get a proper RB we could also use Sergi Roberto as DM in 4-2-3-1 formation. He most definitely deserves a chance in his natural position.

This is Robert Fernandez speaking.

Barcelona sporting director Robert Fernandez spoke to RAC 1 and said that in the summer "there will not be as much movement as last year, but of course we will do things. You [always] have to look at certain positions."

Everything suggests one of the priorities is to sign a right-back: "Well, last year we didn't sign one because we felt we already had that position covered with Sergi Roberto and Aleix Vidal. It was absurd to bring in a third option. But, finally, maybe now it will be important to sign in that area. [Arsena's Hector] Bellerin? He's a great player, no doubt, but he has a contract with Arsenal."

Robert also confessed he expected some of last summer's signings to adapt better this year: "I know it's hard to adapt to a club like Barça and I saw that with my own eyes with top level players like [Michael] Laudrup and [Ronald] Koeman. It was tough for them at first, but you know how it went after. [Samuel] Umtiti, for example, has got off on a good foot, in exchange, Andre Gomes hasn't. We signed players for the future and we have a lot of confidence in them."

The Barça sporting driector also said that "we have a lot of faith in Jordi Alba and Aleix Vidal, even though they've had some tough moments" and that "we haven't received an offer from China for Arda [Turan]. If one arrives, we will look at it. Like all offers." He convincingly stated that "Mascherano is non-transferrable". And asked about Isco he said that "like Bellerin, they're great players, but with contracts with their clubs."

We need to let this guy go. Not as much movement as last year? This guy has to be joking. We need two starters at least. A top RB and a top midfielder will cost as much as 100m potentially.

Maybe he means that we will bring fewer players. But if I don't see two great players signed in the summer I'm going to lose it for good.

So a possible RB and no midfield reinforcement.

As long as Robert is still in charge, don't expect change.

He doesnt say that and wont start going on about what signings they want to make when there are only a few important games to go.

Cant read anything in to those words in regards to what they have planned.

People must realize that we invested heavily in incoming garbage last summer. And we always get very little money in from any sales.

We probably wont spend nowhere near as much this summer as we did last summer. Last summer was the big "investment in the future" period.

Actually at this stage Robert is right. Without knowing who the new manager will be it's pointless to sign new players. The least they can do is to contact some of the shortlisted players, to check with their agents if they are willing to sign for the club. I'm glad that someone working in this club finally acknowledged Andre Gomes hasn't played well this season.

The issue probably isnt that we dont know who the next manager will be but a question of funds. How long can we continue with a terrible transfer policy, be highly reliant on La Masia stars (Messi, Busi and Pique are still crucial for us) and still invest heavily every summer with hardly any money coming in from sales?

For me, a team that concedes 4-0 away so often (PSG, celta) and other big score lines

We need a midfield that can provide both control and defensive solidity

We don't need more players who take too many risks and turn over the ball too much

Coutinho, Bernardo Silva, ericksen, dele Ali all fall in that category.

I showed stats how coutinho and Silva each loses the ball twice as iniesta, and turnover the ball 4 times as Iniesta

More turnovers means we get even more counterattacks against us leaving us more exposed

That's why I prefer balance over flashiness
CMs over CAMs

Etc

Ah, my bad. That was the other topic I was going to share with you guys.
HERE

Of course they know, I don't believe they haven't contacted anyone.

Were always slow in transferwindow and that is not a good thing. Other teams make predeals with all the best players and we get left with scraps.
I really hope the club doesnt start sweeping the massive midfield problem we have under the rugg like many already start to do here after winning one classico.

"We signed players for the future and we have a lot of confidence in them."
