Barca Transfers and Rumors

What planet are you living on? The Manchester clubs have invested record transfer fees on some of the best midfield talent of this generation. I don't understand what results have to do with anything, we have MSN who managed to score 0 goals in Paris and Italy. So what? Doesn't take away from how talented our attack is.

Juventus is on course for a treble and Real just won La Liga and possibly winning 3 CLs in 4 years. And you are going to sit here and try to convince me that somehow we are on level with these guys while having invested tons of money on donkeys like Arda and Gomes?

Okay.

i live on the earth planet and in this planet NOW both teams of manchester have a lot of problems, mostly in the middle...

they have invested a lot of money....okay...and then?
we have to see the results...

i don't want to convince you, don't worry...
you have your idea, no problem...bye.

...and logically investing in the best talent is the best way to get a good return on investment. It doesn't always work but it is the least amount of risk one can take on for clubs competing for European elite status.

Have we invested in the best talent though? Nowhere close. We've invested 70m on Arda and Gomes. That's colossal failure.

Yes, our transfer policy stinks, but most people dont want us to chase the best players from smaller leagues, like Naby Keita, Thomas Lemar and similar players. I wanted us to sign Sidibe, Fabinho, Thomas Lemar, Gabriel Jesus and Umtiti last summer. We ended up buying Umtiti and a lot of garbage.

People want what they term as world class players, and that means chasing after Coutinho, Verratti etc from rich clubs.

Exactly. And the sad part is how we continue to neglect the best talents year after year.

Really people just need to look at how a team like Real's midfield is now benefiting from having such a basic strategy.

-Modric, Kroos, Isco, Kovacic, James

When those players became available on the market, all of them were without a doubt the highest rated midfield talent in the world and four of them were already considered world class players.

Today, Real Madrid are reaping massive success from investing in the best talent available on the market. Hell, they will probably sell James this summer for a massive transfer fee and recoup all the money they spent on him. That's what investing in the best talent gets you.

They are doing the exact same thing outside of their midfield by signing guys like Asensio and Hernandez as well. Again, investing in the best available talent on the market.

Just boggles the mind how the executives at our club, who pocket millions of dollars every year, cannot figure this out.

Gerard Romero says if we don't sign Bellerin, we will sign a lower profile RB to back up Vidal.

Bunch of idiots if it happens. Which part of 'starting quality RB' do they have trouble understanding? Bellerin or someone else, we need a starter at RB, not yet another back-up. We have Vidal and Roberto as back-ups FFS.

hahahahahahaha

Such an appropriate time to post this considering the discussion currently going on in this thread.

I don't understand how the people who run this club think it could be okay to go another year without a proper RB. SMH.

You have to keep in mind that this is a sporting department that has had an entire year to scout, plan, evaluate, contact and negotiate with players and agents over a starting RB signing for next season.
