I've been impressed with him since the Sampdoria days already...he's like a mini Verratti. But yeah, he's joining Arsenal, so it's welcome to Barca in like 3-4 years.

Why not Wilshere? I mean he would be for free, what could we lost? Maybe with our high level medical stuff, he could relive his carrer. Always seemed perfect for us style-wise.

It is painfully obvious that a major renovation is required in the next two seasons. Suarez, Messi, Pique, Busquets and Alba are all fading.
I personally would like to see Suarez, Pique and Busquets benched or rotated. We need five players. A forward, 2 midfielders, a centre back and a left back.

We've spent a truck load of money over the past few seasons. I doubt we have much money to replace all those 30+ year olds we rely on. I agree with you that we need big reinforcements, and we have to spend before the 30+ year olds become absolutely terrible. We have to be proactive, both as an adjustment period for the newcomers and to avoid a messed up season relying on finished players. I think we might be on the right track with De Jong though. Havent heard much about Houssem Aouar lately though we were linked with him some months ago.

Feeling the exact same way. I won't pretend to have watched him that much, but aside from some golden moments here and there, he looks massively overrated if the 100m+ rumors asking fee are true.
Great Ball control and flair for a player his size, but seems to lose the ball every other action. Sort of a Pogba lite.
I like him a lot ... marvellous touch and great potential
He's kinda Zidane-like in the way he receives / controls the ball ...

Opposite for me. Even this WC, I only watched his game against Costa Rica where he was great, but heard people say he was quite average in the other two games.
We really need this kind of presence in our midfield, IMO. A bit like Pogba, yea, but without the drama and attitude.
