Joao Felix from Benfica looks good. If he keeps this up we should consider him as a Suárez replacement. He is a second striker though but I think he can develop to a good, mobile 9 ala Benzema and Firmino.

I think it will be good to have a mobile 9 when Messi gets older and moves centrally.

I really don’t like the 9’s the market offer.

Liverpool got 70m rejected for Felix

He already did for 85%-90% of the time. He is a RW only on paper.

Nope for that price. I would prefer someone more proven in a better league.

Agree but I can't think of any strikers proven in a better league. I have watched Jovic two times and he doesn't look like a Barca player style wise, neither Maxi Gomez.

So we have to look at other options. And I agree 70m is insane and that even got rejected. But that Liverpool offer so much speaks about his talent. But lets see for the rest of the season.

If we get De Ligt, and maybe Rabiot on a free, then our only headache will be a number 9.

In that situation we can try out different promising players to see if they can breakthrough here (Werner, Jovic etc.) or try to spot the next Salah, until Mbappe runs his contract down and we go fullblown bananza to get him. Dream-scenario for squadmanagement, tbh. Maybe a leftback some years down the road, but it really will be minor adjustments, as Alena/Puig/De Ligt or Todibo will secure the respective spots during the next years.

I have watched Werner and Jovic. I have seen several games with Werner and he doesn't suit us. He needs space. Dont work against deep blocks.
And Jovic, I saw him two times. Doesn't look like a Barca player either.

Not related, but I prefer paying that price for him over De Ligt

Have you seen him play Khaled? What type of striker is he? From the clips I saw it looked like he was a Kaka type of midfielder in the beginning but lately has been playing as a second striker in the mold of Griezmann, Benzema and Firmino. That would be very good since Messi doesn't move a lot and isn't getting any younger.

EDIT: According to AS scouts from Madrid watched him this weekend and some call him a talent at the same level of Mbappe.

Lets follow him. Seems whole Europe is interested.

No,only highlights tbh. If you want someone to have objective assessment then raki is the one to ask

The Griezmann compariosn is fair. Plays best as a second striker, can play on the wings during the same, great techique, poise, intelligence and scoring ability even headers. Rreally special kid.

I really dont see him as Suarez replacement. That Liverpool offer is false.

Nice to hear. We targeted Griezmann as a Suarez replacement last summer. Now, I haven't seem him play but if he is that type of player I think it could work well with Messi. Different kind of player to Suarez tho.

I don't disagree but both Maxi and Jović are actual strikers/goalscorers who would have a clear role/position with us.

I've only watched highlights from Felix so I can't judge his talent level fairly though he seems very talented and could easily be the next "big thing" but in terms of playing style/position I don't see him as Suarez replacement. More so I don't see a clear position for him in our current team (he would probably be the best used in Messi role but we know how much he would play in that case) but that's just based on yt videos so I could be wrong. Maybe he would work as false 9 but I don't believe that should be our "plan A" in 2020 and beyond. And if we would actually do that then I prefer Richarlison who is proven in a much better league.

Agreed.
