Barca Transfers and Rumors

Lets see if he even can keep this level and goalscoring up. That whole Europe is after him speaks volume about talent. Also, I dont want a traditional 9 to replace Suarez. They IMO dont work here as seen with Paco. I can see what you mean he probably plays the Messi position but movement looks very good.

Gonna follow him but he isn't going to be cheap.

Felix if he keeps up his performances will easily go for 80m+, not unimaginable he can go for even 90+ with English clubs joining the race.

As for our striker then I'm increasingly leaning towards a wide striker or a striker that's able to play out wider like Mbappe and I suppose Richarlison(not sure what to think abut him) than a pure striker. Messi is just going to keep going towards the center so I would rather have Dembele at RW and a player like I'm saying at LF.

Then you could have a different, big, tall traditional striker as the backup.

Would prefer a striker with some natural pace and great movement.

Regardless the position, you need a goal scoring machines if you want to be successful. No way around it. Preferably 2 or 3 of them
Right now we have Messi & Suarez who are both 32 by the end of the year, 33 by 2020 (likely the year Felix will be sold) so there will be a need of a replacement, Dembele is developing into one although not a 30+ goal scorer yet, we need someone else by 2020 tbh. That is where Felix fit in.

I think he will go this year if he keeps this up. Massive interest.

But is Felix really a goal scoring machine (or could become one in a year or two)? Can he score 30+ goals/season (overall) in a better league?

If he can't then I don't see a point spending 60M+ on him. Sure, he could bring a lot of other positive things to the team so I'm not saying we shouldn't considering signing him for the right money but right now I think we should concentrate on finding someone who can score. If we believe Felix can provide goals then buy him but if we don't I prefer to look for someone else.

That's a lot of random names. Many of them haven't played a single minute in Ligue 1.

Lozano has scored 13 goals in 19 games as LW this season.
Not saying the dutch league is good or anything, and i havent watched him since the world cup so cant really say if hes been good or not apart from his stats.

From little I've seen and the states I think there is very good chance he will be in 2 years time if he develops as attacker. he surely has knack for goals

If Coutinho doesn't improve massively until the summer, and even more so if Valverde stays beyond the summer (which i hope he doesn't of course), i would be perfectly happy with us selling him for like 110M. Take that 50M L and move on, as he's clearly struggling to find his place here. If we get rid of Valverde and get a more free-flowing creative manager, i would give Coutinho one more season to make it. But on the other hand, i really want us to get De Ligt, even more so now with Umtiti future hanging in the air. And spending another 80M certainly means we need to sell first. And if that means selling Coutinho, i'd do it. Theoretically we could get those 80M just from selling Rakitic, Rafinha, Denis and Gomes, but that will take time, and i don't think De Ligt will wait until the end of the summer to decide where to go.

Semedo has to start every big game from now on, and just sacrifice Suarez by playing Suarez-Messi-Dembele up front. Malcom to rotate with Dembele on that RW spot. Coutinho should be removed from the squad until he can deal with whatever personal is bothering him, cause he's visibly distracted and not at all motivated to even fight. Suarez can still be an interior winger, making frequent runs to the middle, when Alba is so attacking. Even though we already tried to play like that and it was painful to look at Suarez there, in my opinion it's still worth it because of Dembele and even more so because of Semedo. That right hand side with Semedo-Dembele/Malcom is just electric!

In the near future the ideal thing to do would be to also sell Suarez and get a player, able to play LW and (interior) ST, kinda like Villa did, especially if we also sell Coutinho. One of the United duo Martial or Rashford would fit the bill, but since they finally got rid of Mourinho, the players can breathe again and Martial already signed an extension. So maybe Rashford? But i don't see him not extending for much longer. If he doesn't do it until the summer, we should go for him. Rashford or Werner would be my top choices, cause they're both able to play LWF as well, so they can just as easily play as long as Messi is here.

Tthat´s called scouting.

Kamara, Kimpembe, Lucas Hernandez, Gnagnon, Pavard, Lenglet, Diallo, Zagadou, Diop, Upamecano, Sarr, Konaté, N'Dicka, Matsima, Todibo, Kouassi, Pembele, Niakhaté, Diakhaby, Koundé, Badiashile, Duverne, Gelin, Solet, Bianda, Doucouré, Niakaté, Saliba.

So could you rank the 5, maybe 10 biggest talents among these? Could exclude Lucas and Lenglet as they're already regulars at top teams.

How many world class centre backs are there in the world? 10-15? Most of these guys will probably end up as the next Sakho/Rami/Mangala, i.e not close to Barca level, so most of these are irrelevant to even mention.

If we are going to sign a LB and possibly a striker this summer, that means De Ligt and another midfielder like Ndombele will be out of the question pretty much.

A LB and a striker alone will easily cost us 120m +.

Perhaps we can sign a CB in the January 2020 window.

If you exclude Hernandez and Lenglet, I'd say the 5 hottest prospects right now are Konaté, Upamecano, Kamara, Kimpembe and Kounde. The first two need no introduction (they've been discussed a lot these past few weeks on this forum). Kamara (from Marseille) looks rather impressive. Fast, good composure, versatile, I can see him going somewhere. Kimpembe has been very disappointing for several months now, both with PSG and with France NT, but I still think there's potential in him. I'm obviously biased about Kounde since he plays for Bordeaux, but he became a starter a year ago at 19 and is now the most used player in the team. He's a bit small for a CB but he's very rarely beaten in the air, and he never panicks with the ball. Smart player with good technical skills. Seville tried to buy him for 10 millions last summer. I reckon he's already worth more than 15 now. I can see him pulling a Lenglet, going to Seville and ending up in a top team in a couple years.

But to be fair, there are at least 5-6 names in that list that I've never heard of.
