What does Wijnaldum bring to the table?

He does have an engine, non stop running and energy, something like Matuidi and is versatile aswell. The downside is his age. I was hoping he would ask for Van de Beek.

Problem is Ajax, they don't need to sell at all. Don't want to give any discount on their players, so vdBeek will costs 45-50m
Wijnaldum is half of that price, if I'm not mistaken.

It's to be expected with this board. I don't know how long pjanic's contract is, but if it's until he's 34-35, we'll be in the same position with him after a couple of years as with the other oldies. Idiots never learn.

I like Gravenberch but we have Ilaix who is 8 months younger and a similar profile (though not as tall).

Getting Wijnaldum on a 3-year contract and let Ilaix develop in the meantime wouldn't really be that bad imo.
