Haaland, Mbappe, Neymar...............we are €1.2 bn in debt. We get Garcia and Aguero because they are free. We release other players to pay Garcia and Aguero wages. That is the reality. We are not the big spenders. Those days are gone.

We will always be big spenders. Immediate debts will be covered with loans. It's all about one simple question: Are you good for it or not.

There will be money for transfers but we have to be careful with wage structure.

This.

The clubs finances are fucked up for 2 reasons:
- Barto fucking up and doing stupid things like signing Griezmann when there is no need for him, calculating on the edge.
- The pandemic.

Once everybody had the chance to get vaccinated, tourism and stadium situation will relax. And if those things relax, Barcas finances will look better too. Not initially, but through time. That 1bn revenue was not a Barto fantasy and if it wasn't for the pandemic Barca would have achieved it. Banks know that, investors know that, sponsors know that.

I don't want to play the financial situation down. Things don't look rosy. However, Barca has to invest into the team if they want to keep the value of the brand. Examples of Milan and Liverpool have shown how hard it is to bounce back once you lose your spot at or around the top. Barcas rise in value wouldn't have been possible without that golden La Masia generation. There are some great prospects coming through La Masia again, but they must be paired with signings on positions La Masia doesn't produce the talent necessary for the top.

Record reports we're in touch with Sporting about Nuno Mendes. Don't see it happen for multiple reasons but he'd be a great signing.

🎙 [TODOmercadoWEB] | Denis Ugarov, former Zenit footballer: "Malcom is not a football player. He limits himself to walking across the field and waving his arms.*I think he is the worst signing in the history of Zenit. We need to get rid of this burden."

Neymar to return ??

According to Mundo Deportivo, there is unanimity within the squad that they would much rather the club pursue a deal to bring back Neymar from Paris Saint Germain than any move for Wijnaldum or his compatriot Memphis Depay.

Lmao is the whole squad gonna donate their savings to the club's transfer funds then? Because I doubt PSG would accept an offer of 30 euros cash and a bag of chips, which is all we have to offer right now.

Exactly. PSG will ask for hundred million and laugh to bank.

The question is what we will do with the rest of the squad if Haaland or Mbappe are signed? Expert posters here believe FDJ will be like a Kroos or Modric if he has better attackers in front of him. What about the defense? We aren't so sure if Araujo and Mingueza are good enough to start in big CL KO matches.

You figure it out.
Goal scorers are by far the most valuable assets in football, your chances to win is ridiculously linked to have world class attacker who can score 25+ (preferably 40) a year.
Without that you are making things difficult for yourself from the start.
Look at it like the NBA, you get Lebron and AD and then figure the rest of squad later. In football you get the great scorer and build around him.
PS: That is oversimplification from my behalf, but you get the pint

I agree. Football comes down to one thing: You don't score - you don't win.

We are desperate to add forwards as back-line and midfield looks decent as opposed to front-line that is under many questions (Fati fitness, Messi leaving?)
Maybe Depay-Messi-Fati will be it, we'll see but Laporta does look intent on getting a big signing.
