I think Koeman feels fine with depth at RB with Dest, Roberto and Oscar but still think would be stupid to give Emerson away before giving him a chance.

Koeman apparently wants a LB but doubt we'll have money to get one. And tbh Alba will still be a starter regardless of who we'll buy. I'd rather bring back Emerson and let him compete with Dest who can also cover for Alba as a LB (also give some minutes to Balde in Copa). I like Oscar but think he should primarily be used as a CB especially if we'll continue to play with 3 atb (hopefully not). And well, in that case we might also consider using Emerson as a RCB like someone already suggested here a few weeks ago.

Not a fan of Emerson's however I'd rather we don't sell him to PSG but we can't be choosy since we want the money. To me he would probably thrive in the EPL.

Talks about selling Emerson make zero sense. Buy him for 9, give half to Betis, and if we sell for 25 that leaves us with 3.5 m profit.

You are under the assumption the media reports the details correctly,No?
I honestly doubt those reported detail, many of the % oo sales are usually from profits and not total deals, to begin with.
Nevermid Betis offers us 9M, which is good profit, so something is missing in the whole reported details.

The details do seem incorrect tbh. If these were true, would make little sense for Barca to sell.

What do you mean Betis offers us 9m profit? In case we don't buy? That would leave us in the worse spot than selling under the reported conditions.

No, give us 9M and get the full rights of the player.
That would be better deal for us if we want to sell and the reported details are correct

1) David Alaba offered his services to Barcelona
2) Barca cannot afford his wage demands.

i believe that it's more a matter of needing him than the wage demands. if alaba would be a worldclass CB we wouldn't look away.

but since he is more a jack of all trades and master of none...
