I believe Alemany is overseeing the financial and viability of the recruitments rather than the personnel.

Being back in for Gaya, Pau and to a lesser extent the free signings is lazy and not addressing the problems with the signings that we had before.

I think we'll just have to take a risk again and hope for the best, there is no proven and realistically available CB we can get.

We've signed Umtiti before he had a "breakthrough" for France NT at Euro 2016, let's hope we can do something similar this season.

Either sign a close to WC or WC CB even if it costs a lot or don't sign anyone at all. We already have three project CBs now in our team. Don't need any more. Pau doesn't fit that since he's established himself in La Liga and more or less for Spain too, but I just simply don't rate him and willing to bet 50 bucks it's going to end up similarly as with Lenglet. On the look for someone better within 2-3 years.

Our problem is that we never try to go for a big signing in our defence. We pour hundreds of millions on misfits in midfield and attack, but god forbid if we ever try to sign someone that would improve our defence like van Dijk or Dias did for Liverpool and City.

This defence *need* a leader. It need someone who will immediately establish himself as the best CB in the team.

It does not need the copy of Clement Lenglet or Victor Lindelof.

For me, either MDL/ Koulibaly. Konate, Benoit Badiashile, or Tapsoba are good players, but I do not believe that we should get any of them just yet unless they are available for cheap.

We are most likely going to get Aguero and Depay, what do you think of that? I think we are going to struggle if we do not add any width to our attack, unfortunately.

If we keep Messi and add Depay, Wijnaldum, and Aguero for Braithwaite, Pjanic, and Coutinho, I'd say we're improving the team. But if Pique and his lazy ass terrible attitude is gonna be a certified starter, we'll be still terrible.

Just don't start Aguero except occasionally, and bench Pique. If I see Pique - Lenglet glorification of slowness again... we're doomed.

I think Depay will be a better wide player than Coutinho or Griezmann, even if he is not a classic winger of course. Aguero should absolutely not play with Messi a lot of games. If he does, somebody fucked up, probably the manager.

I'd say this looks decent as far as main players and rotational options are concerned. Of course, if Ansu's recovery goes very well, he'll start to come back in a more prominent role.

Then whoever the manager is at that point should be fired. Aguero should be a rotational player and a player you put in late in games when you're chasing a result. Even then, I'd prefer a taller stronger guy like Giroud who is useful at set-pieces and in the air.

Not sure how Aguero seems like a good buy, but whatever...

I think he excels physically but is prone to making errors defensively; offensively he doesn't offer that much. Bumbling and not high football IQ.

Doesn't strike me as a Barca type of player, but we will see.

Messi will try to find aguero with his passes, see how this will develop to Mess-Suarez 2.0
