Barcelona have set their eyes on AZ left-back Owen Wijndal (21), who's among those shortlisted to go to EURO 2020 with the Netherlands next month. Wijndal's agent is Mino Raiola, who maintains a good relationship with President Laporta. [as]

Wijnaldum is set to join Barcelona as a free agent until June 2024. [@FabrizioRomano]

Wijnaldum's rumours with Bayern Munich seem to be the agent's leverage to get good terms and a faster signing. [@cfbayern]

Wijnaldum is holding on to see what Bar?a could offer numbers-wise amid interest from Bayern Munich and Inter Milan. Nothing is finalised. [@samuelmarsden]

So this transfer window is going to go as predicted.

We have no money so we sign all free agents. Hopefully fans are back at full capacity next season. We pay down debts and recover some money to go all in next year for Haaland.

I would like another fast physical defender but that seems unlikely.

I'm afraid we'll reach worst-case scenario, where we'd have to pay out these bums with a good portion of their remaining contract to get rid of them. They'd have no problems playing for the 2nd team, so the club has no real leverage on them.

Of coarse we will pay some of them to leave, that is how it works with players under contracts.
I doubt it will happen with the likes of Pique/Roberto as they know it could jeopardise any post playing future here.
But Umtiti, Fernandes etc, it is only logical to cut as much as we can, we have no leverage on those.

It sounds like we might make another signing around 25 mil based on rumours. Defenseman.

Boubacar Kamara refused to extend his contract which ends in 2022. Interesting player, but I think we are good in midfield.

Got to get defensive help at RB/right wing back. The current options get beat often enough to lose quite a few games. The Barca RBs are defensively worse than those of almost all the top teams in Europe. Maybe Dest will improve, but as of now he is a huge defensive liability. Roberto also was just not good enough in the few games that he played.

The right-sided CB and midfielders, obviously, were not capable of adequately compensating.

I think we'll use the buy option on Emerson and see how it goes this season.

We're good but still would welcome another defensive midfielder in case de Jong gets injured. If not Kamara, then someone like Tchouameni, Camavinga, Bissouma, Locatelli, Ndidi, Caqueret ...

and also yes to Neves  defensively he's akaw
