Now you assume our players are idiots. No way in hell would Dembele, Griezmann or Coutinho move to Sevilla in a swap deal.

And yes they do have different needs. But why wouldn't they just take 60m from another club instead and buy whomever they want?
Would you prefer to earn cash in full from your job or should they pay 10% of your salary with food instead, because "you need food anyway"?

Yeah this is true of course, and a problem with buying players like that, their wage demands will probably only be met by some of the bigger clubs, so they need to succeed.
Well Barcelona have a lot of players that they don't want now, but they were hyped when they were bought and a smart club might see their potential.
If Sevilla are able to pay one of these players what they want, they could very well be very satisfied, then it's about the players sitting out their Barcelona contracts or not.

If I get paid with a gift card from one of the best shops that I wouldn't otherwise have access to, it might be preferrable to getting paid in cash.

Gift card still gives you the option to buy whatever you want. Equivalent of letting Sevilla pick any player, like Ansu or Pedri.

From Marca article...

And it is that Monchi's plan is to give the project a second turn of the screw. Part of the champions less than a year ago in Cologne will leave to make way for a new batch of signings. Right and left back, a center back (or even two), the goalkeeper (already signed), a midfielder (or two) and a forward. Many movements and pieces to fit. The first step is still to get a big capital gain. The amortization that remains to be paid for Kound? is below 15 million. Anything that surpasses the 65 barrier would give Sevilla 50 million to reinforce itself. The big operation is already underway.

So if you're Monchi what would you prefer?

Option 1.) 50m that he can spend on 6-7 players he has scouted for a year

Option 2.) Lenglet (25-30m), Firpo (10-15m), and 20-30m

It's an easy decision.

Ok but they can't. Maybe they'll find something Barcelona doesn't want that still suits them better than alternatives elsewhere, who knows? At least mundo deportivo reported about a potential swap deal.

Yeah let's hope Puig isn't included in one, not only because he is great but because his value can't be higher than his worth currently.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Maybe Sevilla isn't the best club for a swap deal, as they seem pretty competent in their scouting and might know of good ways to spend money.
Well they were satisfied with bringing Rakitic one year ago though.

Too much dreaming and hoping. Have to be realistic and logical.
A good player = doesn't want to go to Sevilla.
Players who wants to go = probably not good enough to cover for the money they can get for Kounde.

It's what you get with swap deals between a lesser team's best and most valuable player and a top team. Nearly impossible.

Of course swap deals are tougher to reach than usual deals as there are more parts involved and more things that has to work.
I am sure there are opportunities though, and there has been much speculation about swap deals because of the pandemic.

A lot of you are arguing against me for the sake of arguing because you decided early on that I was "a troll" it seems.
I'm just reporting from mundo deportivo, and saying it's a possibility. I don't want Kounde. If Barcelona do, they have players that might interest Sevilla if they don't have the money.

I'm arguing against the possibility of a swap deal.

Besides, Mundo Deportivo phrased it as in "Barcelona will have to rely on a swap deal and won't enter an auction", rather than "Barcelona and Sevilla are in talks over a swap deal".
