Don't know what Laporta is doing. GOATomeu would've already signed him.

Yuri Alberto, a 20-year-old striker for Internacional de Porto Alegre, has been offered to Bar?a as reported by SER Catalunya's Qu? T'hi Jugues program. Unknown to the general public, although international in the lower categories of the Brazilian team, its price is around 13 million euros but its offer has not made much illusion in the Bar?a offices.

Laporta lost more money on South Amercian nobodies who never played for clubs first team than last board.

Hopefully learned lesson.

Sign Gaya too btw.

Wijnaldum, Depay, Gaya, Garcia, Aguero, Emerson is a perfect window for a club in our position.

Gaya and Alba both too good to sit on the bench, I'd rather have a promising youth player content with fewer minutes tbh. I guess they could play at the same time sometimes.

Pique, De Jong, Comas is there too, it will be great!
Looking forward to following Garcia, think he will fit my taste.

The backline is one Araujo injury away from disaster. How is that not bad?

The backline of Chelsea consistent of a PSG oldie that they didn't want to keep, Christensen who nobody rated, and Rudiger who as well nobody thought highly of years ago. So... I don't know what people expect really. Oh, and City had Stones in it who looked exactly like Lenglet. Good on the ball and that's about it, easy to beat 1 vs 1.

The CL finalists showed that the defense is pretty poor on an individual level in most teams. Defensive organization is a manager's work. And don't even get me started with Bayern and Boateng. Boateng was so bad he was even folded by freaking Suarez .

That defense can be worked with. It consists of pretty young and fit players. From here on, the manager needs to do his fucking job and put these players on the field in a coherent way.

The comparison with Chelsea, Bayern or City is faulty and I shouldn't have to mention why. Better managers, fitter/stronger players in all compartments not only in defence, pace in every position as well. Of course defending is more than the individuals but even separating the CB from the midfield which we shouldn't do, the like of "grandpa" Silva, "nobody" Rudiger etc. are still better players than ours, no matter how much you spin it.

Araujo still has concerns over his fitness, Garcia is completely unproven and remains to be seen how good he is, Lenglet is an absolute sieve, Mingueza's positioning and rashness is still a thing, I don't even mention the likes of Pique or Umtiti as they are done. And the most glaring weakness is that we don't have a fucking leader which is as important as anything else. Every top team has a leader in defence, we don;t have one, hell we don't have one in all the team ffs.

They are passable against the bottom half of the league but against top teams we will get exposed once again. Have to see it with my eyes to believe that the the defense will be anything more than poor.

Nah I agree with serghei here, it's not about fitter/stronger or speed - it is about playing to the players strength.
It is very telling how Chelseas defence, probably looking worse than Barcelonas under Lampard, won the CL for Chelsea under Tuchel.

And it's not about "better managers" the way some posters would read it either, a manager can be good for one team and bad for another, it's about fitting the manager to the style that fits the players and the club as well - not about managers being "world class managers" or not.

But since I started following Barcelona they have never been able to defend the way Chelsea for example defend, they should rely on possession, high press, and to defend as little and as effectively as possible.
