ManU are the last moment kings

They pinched Berbatov from Spurs with about 10 minutes to spare

And how would this help us? Can't sell Frenkie in last hours of TW, buy Bernardo and City also find a replacement for him. Not to mention whichever player City would buy from whatever club that club would also need a replacement and so on. Just not enough time to complete all deals.

Don't know most people even realize how complex transfers are. That's why even on paper simple deals like loans can often take days to be completed, let alone when it comes to big money transfers when agents and multiple lawyers of all involved parties go through every word written in contracts several times, adjust details etc. before players can actually sign.

That's why serious clubs usually don't sell important players in last hours or even days of transfer window. Just too much work to be done in limited time and a lot of things can go wrong. Especially here with how Tebas is handling things could easily happen we agreed to sell Frenkie and buy Bernardo but he says we can't register him. Then what? You just have upset players on all sides. Not worth it.

Let United overpay for another player on last day of transfer window if they want, we've mostly done our business early so really no need to go into crazy mode again like we did last year loaning out Griezmann (which now looks to be a pretty bad deal) and getting LDJ.

It's also not like we desperately need Bernardo. He would be more a luxury signing than anything else. If we'll do any more incoming transfers we should concentrate on positions where we actually have bigger holes in the team, mostly RB.

Meaning if there is 7 days left then that is more than long enough to sort things out

Atletico are willing to part ways with Renan Lodi, even on loan. We should really be jumping on this. Perfect stop gap until next summer, when players like Gaya and Grimaldo are gonna be free agents, or we scout someone else. And even more importantly, an immediate upgrade and solution to really push Alba towards the exit door by downgrading him to the 3rd LB option for this season.

In what universe is Alba the 3rd option in a team with Lodi and Balde? Easy to hate on Alba but be realistic.

In a universe, where Alba is so bad in defense, that Xavi doesn't trust him anymore, even if he would bring good things offensively. Balde is an exciting option, cause he's young, fast and very talented. While Lodi is such an upgrade on Alba defensively, it's almost incomparable, especially this Alba, who in addition to not knowing how to defend isn't even capable of putting in a good cross/pass anymore. Lodi and Balde both have pace and crossing over Alba, and Lodi has defense on Alba, Balde most likely too, for the sheer ability to be able to recover and stop his man. So what else is there for Alba to be better at? Not much, if anything in my opinion.

Atletico would do us no favours with the Griezmann situation. Not unless we could use it to write off some of the 40m.

Would be a solid move, though right now we can build up Balde.

And also, Alba usually returns to form when he loses his place for Spain or Barca and a fire is light under him. Xavi may be doing the same right now.

What's up with Lodi? Thought he was doing pretty well. I see PL clubs are interested.

No idea. He is a bit limited though. Brazil have a few upcoming fullbacks too. Check out the highlights of Luan Candido.

Atl have agreement with Forest for Lodi. 5m loan + 30m purchase option.

Now up to Lodi to agree personal terms.

crazy under the radar...and many forget that he's still only 24 years old! Very interested if Forest actually take that purchase option...if they stay up, I think they actually will.
