True, but it happens, it just needs to be a rarity and a lesson-learned type of situation. Naby Keita cost Liverpool about 60m and he did shit. Many more examples in nearly all teams.

Aye, he can salvage himself if he agrees to an exit this summer to be honest. Not everyone can deal with the polarizing pressure of the Spanish top two.

Not even Pep for longer that a few years.

I don't think any team is dumb enough to buy him this summer. He was that terrible last season. Only hope is that somehow he isn't as shit as he played, has a bit of a comeback, and we are smart enough to sell right away during that spell of form.

He can be an opportunity on loan. We will probably be paying 50/60% of his wage packet.

Someone like Emery who was rumoured before.

Yea, that could do too. Get him somewhere where the pressure is not that big, because he has that Andre Gomes type of soft mentality that is not cut out for the big clubs.

The problem with that is that if some weaker team loans him and he flops there too, everyone and their dog will know he is shite. So goodbye any chance of getting rid of him.

Wonder when people will finally catch on to Josep Minguella's shitck these days. I've seen another quote of his talking about him offering Alaverz to Barca but we went with Ferran Torres instead.

Big agent during his Hay day but these days he's basically "Oh I offered *Insert big talent* to Barca but instead, they bought a bad *Insert Player*" It never fucking fails how he does that shit every time we make a signing that doesn't pan out.

And there's still people who believe that shit.

Yea, true, seems to me Alvarez made an amazing call by signing for City. Truly the perfect club and manager to take your time in if you are serious and don't fuck around.

He is in a very low pressure environment now, an extremely well tuned and well oiled team. Haaland, De Bruyne, and the like take most of the heat if they fail to deliver, while he can just focus on getting better and better in the background.

Barca atm is basically the opposite. A team in early reconstruction, desperate to cling themselves to another savior-like player. Can only hope this Vitor Roque guy is not some mental softie, because the club will chew him up in no time if he is, just like with Ferran Torres.

Ferran lost confidence from player was previously but Xavi is also to blame as he bought him and tried to play him in role near enough never had before as an isolated wide player.

Not sure it is all pressure when he has probably been better in the bigger games.. scored and assisted away to Real last season, scored v Real and Atletico this season but in a lot of the games he looked lost.

Looked decent on some games from the right later in season....maybe he has a role of some sorts if can be sold and Dembele plays on the left a bit more..,if they cant loan/sell him.

The impression I had was that Julian Alvarez was the Vitor Roque of the time. Always very strongly linked to us, but in the end we decided on Ferran.

For
-LaLiga experience
-Worked under Pep system and thus should adapt instantly to us, since we needed to make the CL si o si.
-EPL proven.

While Alvarez had the needs to adapt to Europe and unproven cliches. Well, you can read the early pages of the Alvarez thread to see we were very strongly linked before we were linked to Ferran (well this time linked to Ferran, we were close to signing him when he left Valencia to City).

Both Barcelona and Real Sociedad are ready to meet Álvaro Pérez Campo's release clause of €200k. The 20-year-old plays as a right-back for Deportivo de la Coruña. The player has to decide. If he joins Barça, he'd join Barça Atlètic at first. @GALICIANGOLES via @albert_roge

Signed, according to Marca.

He was quite highly rated a few years ago, don't know what happened to him.

We needed a RB for Barca B anyway but have higher hopes for Fort.

Super Sadio available for just 20m Euros. Cole Palmer looking to leave City, probably on loan.

Neither are ideal options but options none the less in a sparse market. Still feel light up top, unless they somehow incorporate Vitor as a first teamer.
