The similitudineis there both decent wingers with a bad goal ratio and shady ball control. I admit Nico looks more involved but apart from a Flick masterclass I don't see how nico will be able to win us UCL. So what's the point on spending 60-70 milions for a player that can do more or less what Raphinha can, then you have Felix too.
The whole point of me posting about the Brazilians is the idea shared aboved. Barcelona neeeds players withou a talent ceiling to recover its status. You can very much waste money on them but you also have the chance of recovering the lost briliance. I will also adventure to say Dumbele was a more sane transfer considering that we had Messi back then than Nico considering that he will need to be the main focus of our efforts. I don't know maybe I can't see his briliance but that's my opinion.
We can't afford to waste money on good enough except if we plan to be more or less the new Atletico.
Those Brazilians without a ceiling don't grow on trees.
How many years are you going to wait to sign a winger like that? Five? Maybe more? In the last 10-15 years there's only been Neymar and arguably Vinicius like that. Rodrygo is very good, but not as talented as those two.
I saw you mentioned Estevao and while I wouldn't mind signing him, he's not a left-winger. Signing him and then putting him on the left side would be putting a ceiling on his potential.
Again I don't mind or care too much if they don't end up signing Nico Williams, but people complain all the time and offer no solution. The chances of a left-winger with an elite potential appearing out of nowhere anytime soon isn't very high, and even if that happens what makes people think that player would choose to sign for us?
We controlled the Brazilian market and couldn't even sign Vinicius Jr or Rodrygo. Even Argentine players like Echeverri who idolize Messi almost like he's their God went and joined Man City and didn't care too much about waiting for us to make a move and deal with our issues.
