I'm sure Roque will have a better career than most of these overhyped kids.

also, Leipzig triggered 10m clause of my boy Assan Ouedraogo. Glad he's going there instead of Bayern who were in advanced negotiations for him last week. Will probably end up there in few years anyway though.
Why would Roque have a better career than most of this kids? Most of thrm are not even overhyped. Messinho it's probably the only one alongside Roque.

And about overhyped, you will think FCB having a hype machine will take over the internet if we would have such quality in La Masia. The boys are known for a reason, they can do things that other players can only dream. Having success depends purely on their parents and the future club. You can't mimic those dribbles regardless of the league.
I mean CR7 can't be Messi even in Saudi Land.
He scores lots of goals but his fails are there from United, to Real, to Juve and now Saudi. If you have it you have it.
It's true most of them are very flimsy so they need a club and competition to develop but if we look at Real, they had no problems in making talents fit for UCL confrontations and Vini isn't more talented than Gabriel Mec.
And about Roque I mean let's be serious, he isn't some CR7 for his hard work to give fruit.
Cr7 was talented enough to begin.
So in your opinion we should invest money and years of training on mediocre players when we could bring real talents in La Masia just because they are a bit overpriced.
But then I ask myself how on earth we are going to compete Real, EPL, Bayern and pay the 3 billion debt? I mean Sevilla can't and he is staying away from "overhyped" players, makes sane transfers for over 2 decades now. Can't see them beating Real or City in a UCL final. Same for BVB. Huge success with their trasfers but can't dominate even Bundesliga.
So I am sorry to say again but this is the deluded Cruyffism at work. Any sane guy who is over 38 years knows Cruyffism failed to produce anything when the system was hailed as more important than having stars.
And excuse me, I don't see Lamine having the same talent as some of those kids, he is less aggressive and Lamine is our best hope being half Berber. Bantu players are not that talented.

That's a lot of money.

Thank God we have yamal and Guille coming through, we also signed Diarra who I think will be very good, because of all the south American talents we definitely got the least talented one.

Anyone knows what is happening with Diarra? Haven't heard anything about him since that youth WC. He's coming in december right?

CLub-oriented rumors again appearing at club media like Sport
claiming a Felix-Roque swap

Of course, if that were to happen, Laporta and Deco would have surpassed Barto's criminal Pjanic-Arthur swap...
Thankfully, Roque wants to stay and will stay.

Atletico has fooled and fleeced us already three times the last 4-5 years, due to idiocy of people deciding.
We should simply stop doing business with them

That's... disappointing. But then it's unlikely he's gonna get some top transfers, so he needs to work with what he's got.

Very good chance they sign Nico Williams from Athletic who some people on this forum have decided is some shit version of Dembele for some reason I don't quite understand, but don't care much to argue back and forth.

I believe it if I see it personally. Nico has some goals in him too, more than Dembele. For our level, the guy is about as good as we can get.

Keep the same squad + Nico + DM and that's something...

How is there a good chance? Even if we get to 1:1 (we won't) we still have to sell players for at least 60+ mil to get Nico. We can't sell anybody for that money, the players don't want to leave.

If we think along the lines of 'he is the best we can get' then we are going to be screwed for years. Barca are mediocre right now, therefore any above average player fits in to the ' best we can get category'.

Nico is better than any left winger we have, but that doesn't mean we should sign him because the problem is you've happily bought a player who is only above average, then you wonder why the team nor Nico himself reaches a world class level.

Barca transfer policy of targeting these above average players ( Nico, Merino, ) or aging so called world class players ( Bernardo, Kimmich ) smacks of selfish short termism and will leave them chasing the competition for years.

They need to be braver in the market. Young, high risk, high reward players who have the potential to be WORLD CLASS or buy nobody at all.

Felix plays for himself and Cancelo is too erratic. I know Fatorta is doing favors to Mendes but I'd rather see Balde/Fort and Fermin/Gavi than these 2 Portuguese frauds next season.
