I think if cheap he would be ok for BA, especially if we stay in Primera RFEF (don't think he's ready for Segunda if promoted but then Gerard Martin will probably stay - I don't see him playing another season in 3rd tier). But yeah, probably doesn't have level to ever get close to the first team. Would prefer Oduro but his future is not really in our hands.

also, looking at his full name makes our interest more understandable :D

João Henrique Mendes da Silva

:felix::cancelo:

Like I say I don't see anything in him, but admittedly the highlights are limited. But the Sporting Recife rightback looked lightyears ahead and exactly the characteristics that we look for in a fullback. By comparison.

Would have preferred Oduro, Sangare but financially this is probably a loan with a 5m+ purchase option. So initially cheaper but potentially more expensive.

Lastly Edu Sanchez has good potential but never had a shot with injuries.

Porkchops usually accepted 8-10m increase on the buyback with Real Madrid.

Meanwhile we inserted a 30m buyback on the 8.5m Nico sale. A 22.5m increase.

That's a bad precedent that Porto will take advantage of. Only solace is that Deco is really keen on Faye.

I think club never really rated Nico and/or thought we have similar player with higher upside in Bernal. Mind you Conceicao has not played him first half of the season and there were reports they'll send him on loan then he was given a chance and establish himself.

It was also Alemany who negotiated Nico's sale last summer AFAIK.

Now Deco will negotiate with Zubi/AVB. I think we could include Mika and Vitor (loan) in a possible deal to get Pepe.

If dealing with Porto would prefer to get Alan Varela but that's probably impossible now.

Selling prospect that is wanted all of europe for 15mil and sigining 33 years old cripled Inigo on 10mil per season is very logic.

F*** you catalan idiots, you deserve this situation

According to Sport Deco is In talks with Porto for:

1. Faye's sale for 15m with buy-back option
2. Roque's loan

also, linked to Esquerdinha, LB from Fluminense

Selling Faye????
Maybe because he is not Catalan

...another evidence to confirm that club is managed by idiots.....

Yeah this is fucked in all honesty. Terrible management by the sporting department.

Would be a shame to lose him and not give him at least a chance.

Would rather have him in the squad than the likes of Inigo Martinez. Guy can't even stay fit and is completely washed up physically.

One year ago people would not believe it if they were told Faye will be sold for 15M after a year.

He is a good raw talent, but the only other concrete offer we had was for 9M and he is also mistake prone.

I just have this gut feeling he won't cut in in Barca or any "higher" level club, I hope I'm wrong. I would try him on LB, but only if we get a decent LW and/or the Cancelo loan doesn't go through. Sure I'm not ecstatic about Cancelo, but I like what he does in attack. Yeah tough one, we'll see...

Selling him with a buyback would be nice.
I don't think the CB position is as secure as people think though. Won't be surprised if Christensen is sold this summer, especially with a good EURO.

Then you're left with Araujo who gets injured from time to time, Inigo who's a joke with all his injuries and Cubarsi.

By the way, followed Amadou Onana closely this game and he looks like a good player and someone who would suit a double pivot more than being a lone pivot which is what Flick presumably will go for.
If he's available for a reasonable fee he might not be a bad option. Strong physical presence, runs all game long, good passes between the lines. He's not a spectacular passer, but more than good enough for a role where he's not left alone to do everything.

Selling Christiansen AND Faye would be braindead, so that's probably what we'll do

.....most likely scenario.... leaving curbasi, martinez, Araujo and kounde

And then, 2 years down the line, when Barca do not win aything, they come up with all sorts of conspiracy theories why other better managed clubs, that make objective decisions devoid of "regionalism" and "pass traits" are favoured always...

It isn't secure, but OTOH it isn't an immediate issue and we are unlikely to rely on a prospect to save the day. At least I don't think we actually rate Faye that high.
Also I doubt Christensen will be sold, the market for him isn't that good tbh. He is worth more to us than on the market. At 28 while suffering from chronic injuries, no big club will break the bank for him, and he won't accept moving to a middle EPL club.
