Buy option is not needed as they will have Bernal back in a year.. assuming all goes to plan.

If he is good enough that Barca regret no buy option then it has been a success anyway.

With buy option would be better though.

For straight loan you would want someone who isn't potential but gives guarantees.

True that, but there is no such player available in the market with 3 days before the window shuts

I guess they don't want to include an option that would show lack of confidence on Bernal regaining himself after the injury

Yea like porque said we have to factor in masia, that's batting a 70% right now, if would always be the case, but they will always offer a couple of solid squad players, we just don't go back to the Barto days of more or less ignoring masia.

Masia fills in the squad, plus 1/2 star players

Some free or inexpensive signings for experience.

Mainly 40-65m euros players.

One, 100m player every 3 seasons.

All these core of the team is very young now, we really don't need to go crazy after we sign a lewa replacement for a couple of Windows.

Masia fills in the squad, but not for the top level in the present. And the argument comes back to forcing kids and getting all of them with a serious injury record even by age 21.

That's around the age Foden just got his first serious minutes at City.

Madrid is different. They didn't completely fucked up the transition like us. In 2021 our team has been dismembered. Theirs smoothly transitioned to a different cycle.

But we are talking of policy going forward. With the base that we have.

Going forward a 60m signing each year is as an example

-Zubimendi
-Nico Williams
-Jonathan David

Etc.

Those type of names will be great squad building on top of what we have and develop.

Since Deco is reading the forum and we need a striker btw. We should sign that Icelandic lad before Sociedad do. Obviously the new Haaland.

Which La Masia players are not ready for top level?

They should thank their lucky stars at the La Masia they inherited and not fuck it up again when too so long to rectify after way left it last time round.

EXCLUSIVE: Barcelona submit straight loan proposal to Liverpool for talented midfielder Stefan Bajcetic! More exclusive details: loan bid worth €4m fee, NO buy clause. After loan bid from RB Salzburg on Tuesday, now Barça try to make it happen after Bernal injury.

This guy is totally reading this thread.

They could probably double pivot as Bernal has a bit more to him going forward. But that's something way down the road.

There is Rabiot on a free.

Or if there is cap space bring back Nico Gonzalez.

But knowing Barca and the Laporta way, they will get all the kids to post on social media and pressure Bajetic to give in a transfer request or something if he done well.

For Liverpools interests the RB move is way better tbf.

Injuries a side, masia is clearly producing players that can help the team win la Liga and a few who are clearly CL level players.

It's an option, but it's a slow-ish process.

Also, some players you may target could be moving in the same summer due to various factors.

Let's not forget about top class 9s. And the expense of that sort of transfer. It's huge.

Also, need to remember that those top class difference makers do not come to teams that are in development. They don't come so that maybe in 2-3 years the team could make other moves and grow. They come to fight for CL title.

You lose the option to land these class signings that could elevate the team if you're seen as an "in-development" side for many seasons.
