Barca Transfers and Rumors

Don't think someone like David would come to play on the wing or just those 10 minutes every 3rd match when Lewa rests.

I prefer our current CBs more than Tah.

Davies wants a big salary and has lost form, pass....

Tell more please, why we are on bad terms with that agency? I'm loooking at list of their players and don't see any player with Barca past.

Ok, it was Ilaix, already forgot about him, lol.

Ilaix Moriba's new agency is the German agency ROGON. They also represent Max Meyer. He didn't extend his contract at Schalke because ROGON asked for the salary for a "world-class player". In the end, Meyer ended up going to Crystal Palace for free. [AlexTruica]

Regarding a #9. Ideally it would be Eto'o type of player. He wasn't the biggest name but very motivated and hard working. Also a class striker obviously.

Hearing rumors about signing all these players with running out contracts is just annoying at this point.
There is a reason why their contracts are running out, either they're not performing or mercenaries who want a super high salary, usually both.

Noting is free.

You think players under contract don't want big money when they see Barca (or other big clubs) calling? Or they push their clubs to accept such offers?

Free agents aren't free, but they are usually lower cost than players under contract. They are easier to negotiate with (only one party rather than 2).

Also, we need depth. Low cost signings that would improve us will be welcomed.

Running down contracts is getting more common because many clubs don't want to sell players because they don't need the money. 15 years ago it wasn't a big problem to buy from someone like Arsenal, now it's impossible.

I think it's the opposite. Players want to get bigger signing bonuses instead of clubs paying fees for them.

Not necessarily, but all of them are already at good clubs that play Champions League and honestly not THAT good, but want more money, like 15m plus.
If they move it's likely only for the money, because they aren't guaranteed to start here.

It's naive to think these players will have any loyalty to Barca.

That is also true, it depends on the situation. I'm sure someone like Saliba would be sold 15 years ago to us/Madrid/Bayern, now it's impossible that Arsenal sells him.

Out of contract solid players is exactly what we need to finish building our squad and get more depth. We're reaching a point in our team where big transfer money have to be concentrated on about 2 world class players.

Barca is not just a good club. It's not about loyalty to Barca. Players simply want to advance in their careers. It's perfectly normal for some players to simply want to control their own path better. How do you do that? By not signing contract extensions if you're not yet at a club you see yourself long term at.

At this rate, Martinez Auto renewal will be triggered, so no tah, unless we move on from Christensen, which will be difficult with his injury record.
