The best academy in the world by mile, but because of one of a kind generationS people belive this is normal. It's not! Where is Ajax this days?
This generation is not even one generation and we had (have) amaizing players on different positions. This is not something that can happen every year or even every ciclus because then every Club in the world would be doing that. Why buy someone for 50-100 mils when you can have him from your school every time. It doesnt' work that way.
Let's see how many fans would want all La Masia team every time but accept that some times Barca would fight for Europe or be a midd table team.
The beauty of La Masia is that it always produces something, currently we'll see Deulofeu, Rafinha, we look forward to Samper, Munir and so on....but to have entire team every time is simple not possible

I do agree we are spending a lot of money on players, but you guys don't realize we are going to get banned for the next couple of windows, so we need to buy now.

cause lots think that every year there will be new messi, iniesta and xavi. Most thought muniesa, montoya, bartra, fontas, bojan, dos santos, sergio alberto will be world beater. LOL. it will take another 2 decade to have a team like the one that won sixtuple.

He is a great player and it wouldn't be hard to get him, but I don't know if he can play at centre back well. He played there only 3 times...Probably the weakest of the lot.
Hummels is too slow, Vertonghen had a disastrous season with Spurs, Schar is decent.

This. La Masia's the best academy in the world, but it doesn't always produce Messis, Iniestas and Xavis. A lot of the time, it also produces Cuencas, Tellos, Bojans, Robertos, etc. In a sense, it is overrated. Just look at the hype Sergi Roberto got. Xavi's aging and Thiago left? No problem, we have Sergi Roberto!
We can't solely rely on La Masia.

By what standard? What has he done in Europe, except making embarassing games against Bucharest and Salzburg in two back to back years? Or what has he done that special at this WC. He was turned upside down by Sanchez, in the Chile game, should've been sent off for constant fouling since the first half.

Why do they insist so much on Blind? Is a LB-only player exactly what we need?
He played most of his Ajax games as a defensive midfielder and converting them to CB is a fetish at Barca
