All potential defensive transfers we are being linked with suck, we need quality quick players not slow dmf's who dont play cb in the first place.
Why does everyone in the world get this except for the people that should.

Well we are known for making DMs into CBs :pep:

Yeah but didn't they tell everyone they were going to sign a centre back? After their annual big name striker it seems they're back to the usual phase of: "Damn we don't have any money left better sign a random DM."
If they seriously sign Daley Blind as centre back we should arrange a massive BarçaForum tweet spam @Barto.

Sad to see that my prediction will probably come through for the second season in a row. This is just a déjà-vu from last year. Notice how we went from Benatia, Marquinhos, Hummels, Mathieu, Vertonghen to freaking Daley Blind.

Fiorentina have given Cuadrado time until next week to present a bid of close to 40M. Barcelona main option, Roma also still interested [nazione]

cause lots think that every year there will be new messi, iniesta and xavi. Most thought muniesa, montoya, bartra, fontas, bojan, dos santos, sergio alberto will be world beater. LOL. it will take another 2 decade to have a team like the one that won sixtuple.

It's a very normal thing to hype up our young talent. Every club takes pride in its youngsters and if you follow the fanbases of other clubs, you'll seed that they hype their own players too. The youngsters have a lot of talent but some of them never fulfill the potential they were thought to have. However it still makes us happy when some of them do succeed and we know that those certain few players had come through the ranks of the club to make a name for themselves.

In summation, every youth academy is bound to be overrated. La Masia, the Ajax Academy, the Sporting Portugal academy, etc. All of the are overhyped because not every player they produce can be a star.

It also never hurts to have a bit of faith in the youngsters. Who knows, they might surprise you. And when they do, some of those who had written them off will say that they'd always known they would become good players.

Hugo Mallo's buyout clause is around 20M euros IIRC. He might be a decent option. Better than Cuadrado for 40M for sure.
